Though he had been creating art forever, David Bowie never really shared anything with the world at large until the 1990s.
Though some of his work had been reproduced in tour programmes and various European magazines in the 1970s (See BOWIE THING – #224 – V&A’S DAVID BOWIE IS EXHIBITION IN BERLIN), his first solo exhibition (NEW AFRO/PAGAN AND WORK 1975-1995) didn’t take place until April 1995.
Aside from NEW AFRO/PAGAN AND WORK 1975-1995, the images here are teasers of some of the 1990s shows which featured his work. Did you attend any and do you own any of the many signed prints that were made available? Or perhaps you even coughed up the cash for an original?
