Film memorabilia is a very popular area for collectors and as we’ve mentioned before, items associated with the films of David Bowie are no exception.
Aside from the lobby cards, fliers, books, stills and posters that we have featured in the past, there are other harder to acquire collectables, such as props.
Scripts/screenplays are another desirable area for collectors, though authenticity is hard to prove as they are generally easy to reproduce.
Whether original (often reflected in the price and good provenance) or photocopied fakes, they can be fun either way.
Often there will be changes to the final film as things are tweaked during shooting.
The Labyrinth example we’ve used is peppered with sketches throughout, though there are no renditions of Jareth. Maybe Bowie hadn’t signed at the time this example was made, though even Sarah looks quite different to the Jennifer Connelly version in Labyrinth.
