Nyika (9-0, 8KOs) – who shone on the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as he stopped previously unbeaten Michael Weitz (12-1, 10KOs) in 4 rounds to win the IBF (Inter-Continental) cruiserweight title in his last bout on May 18th – will return home to fight in his homeland of New Zealand for the first time since his pro debut in February 2021.

He will take on former light-heavyweight world title challenger Capallero (32-4-1, 15KOs) in his toughest test yet; in the first fight of a multi-fight deal with DAZN to bring regular big-time boxing back to New Zealand – beginning with a classic New Zealand vs. Australia battle on September 14th.

In a groundbreaking collaboration; former WBO heavyweight world champion – and current WBO interim champion – Joseph Parker has become a promoter for the first time and has aligned forces with Duco Boxing, Thornberry Promotions and his long-time friend and manager David Higgins to guide the career of Nyika on his ‘Road To The Title.’
