There have been several sad deaths this week, not least veteran composer Laurie Johnson, who wrote countless theme tunes and scores that are burned into my brain forever. Along with the themes to Jason King, Animal Magic, This Is Your Life and The Professionals, he also composed the magnificent theme to ‘The Avengers’ TV series. So what better occasion to briefly break my social media fast than to post my favourite title sequence of all time, co-starring the much missed Dame Diana Rigg. These credits will never not be wonderful. Take it away, Laurie.
