I haven’t been to my sisters house in Switzerland in years. None of the Scanlan’s have. With various viruses, chockablock schedules & world lockdowns there never felt time. Despite this litany of excuses she somehow always made time to fly over to us. Such is her soul. My sister has had a hard time recently. Something happened to her that scared the shit out of me and I don’t scare easily. So with 2 days off in between gigs I booked a flight to Zurich to surprise her. And for 2 fuckin days we talked, we belly laughed & when the dust settled we sat in wonderful silence together. I’m just sorry it took me for her falling ill to fly over. Never again. So here’s to bear hugging the shit out of our loved ones now & not tomorrow. ✌🏻& ❤️

This is great & all, but I can’t help think upon reading it, that if not for the King The Lord Chamberlain would rather I didn’t come… As luck would have it for him, I can’t come. And as irony would have it for me, it’s the creative industry that prevents me from celebrating the creative industry at the Palace, as today I’m on set 🎥🎭…..which of course is in itself a fuckin blessing… I’ve found & curated a beautiful home within the arts & met some staggering people I now call family.
