I remember as a kid watching all kind of travel shows thinking how cool it would be to be one day hosting a travel show. Well, this little dream I had is becoming reality as my new travel show for @tlcseasia will air this month! You can watch the first episode on 21st and the second one on 28th in South East Asia. What a sweet birthday gift for my 33rd birthday, don’t you think? I grew up with a father telling me that travelling can be the best education. He was right. But learning about a new place, a new culture, a new language, demands to open up your curiosity, demands to put aside what you think you already know, demands to get out of your confort zone, to observe, listen and to live in the moment. When I arrived in Hongkong for this tv show shooting, I had to quarantine first for two weeks, a good amount of time to get even more ready, do more homeworks, but also to feel more anxiety as I had some insecurities for this first experience. I’ve read and wrote my script again and again, spent hours watching tv hosts that I look up to to find inspiration, but at the end I realized that the best preparation would be to allow myself to be me. My goal was to be as authentic as possible, absorbing all those inspiring stories and knowleges shared to me and to share my excitment with the audience. This project was one of the most rewarding I ever had and I’m thrilled to finally see it on screen.
