I had to take a minute to talk about one of @quiddie’s signature moves – what you DON’T see… 🫣
Adding these narrative details in out of the view of the characters can alert the players to important narrative points that the characters themselves would be unaware of. 👀
This means that your awesome story points and scenes don’t get missed by the players. 🫨
This usually means you have to throw those amazing descriptions in the trash 🗑️ because of a bad dice roll ❌🎲
BUT using this allows them to add tension for the players outside of the character experience ✅
