Really enjoyed being with the boys & girls lax teams at @PolyPrep. Nice energy. My former college teammate @loucandel66 coaches the boys. Lou was a baller – All-American his senior year and led DIII in assists. Dude had me running drills yesterday. I’ve played more lax in the last week than I have in decades. Kinda lovin’ it. (About that last pic: notice the ball – upper left hand corner, but not of the goal.😬 Sometimes you eat. Sometimes you’re lunch.)

“…celebrating, exploring the powerful, fragile dynamic that is the human heart…” Went to the Tony’s last night. Hadn’t been in many years. It was an honor to present the award for best play, but I went, really, for one reason: to be there with George C. Wolfe, as he was recognized by the American Theater Wing for lifetime achievement. What can I say about George? He has been a pure gift to my life. I’m not the artist I am without George and, in some ways, I’ve only done what I have done because of George. He took an early interest and then shared with me his artistry, insight and humanity over the course of decades now. This made all the difference. George is singular. No one in our profession surpasses him in intellect, heart, imagination, rigor, wit and wisdom. No one. He’s a fiery north star for me and legions of others not only as artists but as citizens and humans. Cheers, GCW! A beyond well-deserved honor. And the great work continues.
