On my way to the airport, stopped and trimmed the headstones and put flowers on my Mom and Dad’s Graves. Thanks Sis and Sis in law Geana for coming out and spending the day with us. My wife and I are heading back to the beach. It never fails, everytime I go to their graves I break down. Time doesn’t heal all wounds. The chaos of life prevents us from focusing on what’s truly important

It’s been 56 year’s and this day still seems like yesterday when I replay it, looking down the hall at school and seeing them walking my brother towards me. The 6 blocks we drove seemed so much longer. As we pulled up to the house, my Mom was in all black. I was 8 and having a difficult time understanding my Dad was gone. Little did I know this was just the start of the death I’d endure.
