Today is the anniversary of Quintin Jones execution by the state of Texas. He was a deeply beautiful and generous person. So many joined in a fight to save Quentin’s life. He had a deeply troubled begining and grew to be a thoughtful, kind, giving and sensitive human being. Some of Quintin’s last words were “Keep doing the good work.” We believe the death penalty is inhuman madness full stop. Other countries around the world have abolished this barbaric practice and we believe the US can do the same. We were introduced to Quintin by our friend, the brilliant writer @suleikajaouad, after they developed a deep friendship through letters and then spending time with each other. The outpouring of support for Quintin deeply moved and inspired us and continues to do so to this day. Thanks again to everyone who lent their time towards trying to help him.
