/It was 20 years ago today…/ It’s hard to believe Buffy The Vampire Slayer signed off 20 years ago today (in the US). /But they’re guaranteed to raise a smile…/ I still meet people nearly every day that were fans of the show and it can sometimes feel like we just finished filming and not that two decades have gone by. /It’s wonderful to be here. It’s certainly a thrill…/ I love that so many of you connected with the show and the characters. And despite some of the bittersweet memories, I’ll always be so grateful I had the opportunity to play Xander and that it gave me the chance to meet so many of you. /You’re such a lovely audience…/ Thank you for holding a place in your heart for the show for all of these years. I’ll also pass on any messages I received to my twin brother Kelly (see the second picture) and I’m sure he will appreciate the love. Sorry for the extra long disappearing act. After two spinal surgeries and a heart attack, I’ve had multiple doctor appointments to juggle and dealing with health insurance and pre-approvals feels nearly as emotionally exhausting and painful as dealing with my actual injuries. You’d think when the doctor says someone needs an urgent MRI and possibly an additional emergency surgery, that the insurance company would get back to the doctor with any kind of answer at all. Right??? I also needed time to rest…or at least as much as I’m capable of resting. So I somehow ended up “trapped” in Idyllwild-Pine Cove (California) by about 3 feet of snow and nothing but time to swing on the back porch or paint in front of the fireplace. Once things settle down a bit, we hope to have the shop up and running again. In the meantime, you can message the page to say hello or if there is something you’d like to buy.
