Life is funny. Here I am, living the life I’ve always dreamed of. And truthfully, some days are better than others. It feels good to have conversations again about the expansiveness of identity. I am no expert; I am a teller of stories. In a world determined to break us apart and tear us down, I’m committed to togetherness, oneness, and the all-encompassing ‘you’. ALL OF IT IS YOU. I’m making art, making babies, and making more. I’m singing songs and playing shows. If you’re in LA on July 6th, come to The Mint. More coming soon. I’m working on finding my next acting gig and getting back on television. This has been the longest I haven’t been on set since I was 19, and I miss it more than anything. My entire relationship to community has always depended on my work. This time between jobs feels lonelier. And also, I’ve gotten to spend almost every single day with my wife and daughter, which is time I will never take for granted. These have been some of the greatest days of my life. The industry is messy right now, more difficult to navigate. It has always been a reflection of our world and now feels especially complicated. But, we must prevail. Over the last couple of months, I have made some major shifts. I have an entirely new team and network of support. I feel seen and represented in ways like never before. I love you. Thank you for showing up and being invested. Sometimes the world of social media can feel pointless, an empty void of loud information. But y’all continue to lift me up. I’m working on more ways we can stay connected. Just felt like sharing some thoughts and posting these pictures I took before a self-tape audition yesterday. Whatever, have a great fuckin’ day. 🔻🔺

Gucci, Dior, and a very small dog. The piano is only $199, it’s in tune, and they have someone who will deliver. Bethany and I are going back tomorrow so she can play it and test. Keys are a little hard but I love the way it sounds. If I had to bet I would say the piano will be in the living room by the end of the week. And maybe the Dior okayyyyy. I actually have 3 more of these thrift hauls already shot but I need to edit. Kilmer decided to rub apple sauce all over my computer and it needed to be sent out for repairs. I love my life, like so much actually.

Following up from my last reel, here’s proof that the girl I thought would never be into books is most certainly into books! The cutest part is her favorite book really is the one her daddy wrote. I don’t know if it’s because somehow she knows it’s his, or if she senses Olivette is part her, or if she just loves the detailed illustrations so much and enjoys pointing out objects on every page. But whatever the reason, she now toddles around with this book, saying Ahh, Ahh (what she calls it) all the time. This leads me to question – what are your families favorite, can’t live without book for kids under 5? With the new baby coming, I’m looking to build our collection and would love your recs!
