Every single poll says the same thing – Labour have won a landslide. “The polls are sometimes wrong – what about Brexit or Trump!” Those polls actually showed a very tight race. This time Labour’s polling lead is about 20 points above the Tories. Even if the polls were massively out, Labour would still win a landslide. Anyone telling you otherwise is – sorry to say – lying to you. They just don’t want pressure on Labour to scrap Tory policies. And that’s the question you have to ask yourself. Do you just want the Tories out – do you want Tory policies out, too? The Tories have wrecked this country and they deserve the annihilation they’re going to get. But we’re never going to get out of the mess we’re in unless we get rid of Tory policies. Every vote for the Green puts pressure on Labour to tax the rich, to invest in our crumbling services, to stop our utilities being cashcows for profiteers, to stop punishing young people with debt for going to university, to end the housing crisis, to take on child poverty, to make the climate emergency an opportunity, and to take a stand against Israel’s war crimes. Otherwise, all the pressure will come from one direction – Nigel Farage. His party will do well today, and will make Labour conclude they have to listen by clamping down on migrants and refugees more, instead of fixing the country. Is that what you want? (I hope not!) So vote Green knowing it’s safe, the Tories really are toast, and send Labour a message to end Tory policies, not just Tory rule. (Unless you’ve got a left-wing independent or Labour candidate in which case vote for them!) Let everyone know!
