Hi, Hillary from @kinshipgoods here. Today is an exciting day for us cause we’re launching the first collection in our merch partnership with the fine folks @comedybangbangworld 🎉
Comedy Bang! Bang! World is the home of the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast, along with a stellar selection of other comedy podcasts curated by Scott Aukerman and his team. We’re big fans of the world they’ve built and are so thrilled to be working with them!
First up is new merch for one of our favorite podcasts: @threedomusa (THREEDOM!) with @pftompkins @laurenlapkus and @scottaukerman 🕺💃🕺And we’re excited to be working with all the CBB World podcasts, so stay tuned!
This partnership feels kinda meant to be in a lot of ways. In the early days of Kin Ship (11ish years ago) one night after working til 3am, we turned on the TV and there was Reggie Watts wearing one of our sweatshirts on the Comedy Bang! Bang! show on IFC. We thought maybe we were imagining it. It was pretty wild, we were still working out of our house! Over the years, we’ve often listened to CBB-adjacent podcasts while working, to help keep our sanity by keeping us chuckling while we work. So, we’re really excited about this launch and for what’s to come.
We know there are lots of options out there for merch making (especially when you live in a big city) so we know it’s pretty special that they reached out to a small business started by two scrappy artists in the mountains of West Virginia. Kin Ship is primarily a brand of cozy goods that we design and print in our studio, but over the past few years we’ve also started partnering with folks doing work we admire and are inspired by, to help them make quality stuff that their fans will want to hold on to. As one of our other podcast partners @stclairjessica says, “It’s more than merch!”
