Pete Buttigieg Instagram – Hi, I’m @MalcolmKenyatta, State Representative for Pennsylvania’s 181st District, and I’ll be taking over Pete’s account today.
I’m a lifelong resident of North Philadelphia. I’ve been politically active since I was 11 and ran for junior block captain with the Philadelphia Streets Program. Growing up in a working poor family and seeing the challenges my community was facing inspired me to get involved and take action. It drove me to stay engaged and active through college—especially around ending deep poverty and economic justice, LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, racial justice, climate justice and ending mass incarceration—and eventually I stepped up and ran for public office.
