The front-page image of today’s Washington Post is that of a child murdered by Hezbollah. Yet the front-page headline—“Israel Hits Targets In Lebanon”—portrays Israel, not Hezbollah, as the aggressor.

Every potential nominee for Vice President is pro-Israel. Yet only one, Josh Shapiro, has been singled out by a far-left smear campaign calling him “Genocide Josh.” The reason he is treated differently from the rest? Antisemitism. The antisemitic far left must never be given veto power over the selection of a presidential running mate.
Hezbollah murders 12 Israeli children with rockets. Where’s the outrage? The children murdered were not Jews but Druze. Hezbollah is willing to murder young Arabs in pursuit of Jew hatred.
The Free Palestine movement is not about freeing Palestinians. It is about pursuing a “final solution” against the world’s only Jewish State, which is home to half of the world’s Jewish population. When antisemites reveal their antisemitism by calling for a genocide against Jews, believe them.
According to the NY Times, a rocket from Lebanon hit a soccer field. Left unmentioned is the cause, Hezbollah, which fired the rocket and murdered 12 children. Anti-Israel bias in the media is not only about the things said and written but also about the things left unsaid and unwritten.
At the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale (The Bayit), which I proudly represent, I had the high honor of joining JCRC and AMEPA in hosting two heroes—Daniel and Neria Sharabi—who shared their stories of saving lives on 10/7.

The Democratic Socialists of America is waging a smear campaign against Governor Josh Shapiro. Even though the Governor is well within the mainstream of the Democratic Party—a mainstream from which the DSA itself is far removed—the DSA is nonetheless singling out the Governor simply because he is Jewish. It should be called out for what it is: antisemitism. Just as troubling, the DSA refuses to utter the word ‘Israel,” instead calling it “the Zionist Project in Palestine.” The antisemitism of the DSA has no place in the Democratic Party.

Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel, murdering nine children. Since October 7th, Hezbollah has been bombarding Israel with rockets, displacing up to 100K Israelis and terrorizing many more. The murder of nine children is the latest manifestation of Hezbollah’s unrelenting terror. Israel has an unquestionable right to defend itself against the most heavily armed terrorist organization in the world.
A rocket does not just fall from outer space onto a soccer field. There’s a causal agent that fired the rocket. There’s a causal agent that is morally culpable for the murder of the 12 children killed by the rocket. A headline that fails to mention the who behind the what is not information but misinformation. It is not journalism but Anti-Israel activism.
Nicolás Maduro did not win a third term. He stole it. Despite boasting the largest oil reserves in the world, Venezuela has been poorly served by the abject corruption of Nicolás Maduro, who has catastrophically mismanaged the Venezuelan economy to the lasting detriment of his people.
I had the honor of meeting Niculin Jäger, the Consul General of Switzerland in New York. We had a wide-ranging conversation covering economics, finance, and international relations.
As a Member of the House Financial Services Committee, I had a productive meeting with the CEO of HSBC USA Michael Roberts, as well as a Q&A with HSBC employees. I answered questions about current events and Basel III capital requirements.

Innovation has the power to drive down costs. There is an urgent need for innovation in housing in order to make the process of constructing and developing affordable housing itself affordable.
One of the greatest challenges confronting affordable housing is the crushing cost of insurance, which is rising at a rate that affordable housing cannot afford.
A productive meeting with Pastor Allen Pinckney at Butler Memorial United Methodist Church and his lay leadership. I look forward to working with them in the service of the Northeast Bronx.
I joined HUD Regional Administrator Alicka Ampry-Samuel in conducting a site inspection of properties in the South Bronx. Much of the multi-family rental housing stock in NYC is caught in a vicious cycle of disinvestment and deferred maintenance, with housing revenues no longer keeping pace with housing expenses. It is a systemic crisis that commands far less attention from policymakers than it needs and deserves.
