Another full circle moment with @paulstanleylive at the @lamag dinner last night. Growing up in the 70s, I was a huge Kiss fan. Their album ‘Love Gun’ dropped when I was just 11, but I couldn’t afford it on my $3/week allowance. When I asked my Mom for the money, she said “get a job” – something I didn’t know was an option at that age. So, I started working at a pizzeria for 50 cents an hour, and that’s when I fell in love with taking care of people. To this day, that’s what drives me in this business – making people happy through food. Paul Stanley was my childhood idol and the true inspiration behind my restaurant journey. If you’re looking for a fabulous meal in the Hamptons, I have the perfect spot for you! @roccodispirito just opened Il Pellicano on Main St in Southampton featuring craft cocktails and dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. We enjoyed a fabulous farmstand crudite with a creamy herb dip, thinly sliced Jamon Iberico, Local Bluefin Tuna Crudo and a phenomenal Shrimp Crudo featuring Royal Red Montauk shrimp. An assortment of sweet Local Tomatoes on Toast was to die for and the pasta dishes Fregola Vongole and Paccheri Pesto Rosso where fabulous fresh takes on traditional favorites (I am still dreaming about the heirloom tomato sauce on the latter!) For dessert the Chocolate Gianduja Crunch served with Chantilly cream hit the perfect balance between creamy and crunchy. The drinks, food and service were all impeccable and both the patio and dining room are a stunningly beautiful place to enjoy a meal.
