“Gone like the summer” is out now! The song is all about the nostalgia of those youthful summer romances that burn out too soon. Watch the official music video at the link in my bio now starring my @nashvilleabc co star, the amazing @undertheseascout. When writing the song, California felt like the perfect canvas, as I’d spent many Summers out there, but I wanted to bring a little indie brit pop into the sound of the record too. Working with my co writer Nick Hodgeson of @kaiserchiefs felt like a great way to lean into that world and inspired the vibrant 2000’s leaning electric guitar. I’m thrilled to announce that my debut album “The Perfect Summer’s Day, Before We Lost The Light” will be released on September 13th and “Meanwhile in London” is out today! I’ve been working on this album for the better part of 2 years and have been writing these songs for many more than that. I wanted to dedicate the album to my Mum Sally who we lost in 2018 and the album title it’s taken from my song “Something on my Mind” with the lines “There’s something on my mind, it haunts me every night, the perfect summers day, before we lost the light”.
