I’ve been away from socials for a while. Stuck in a rut, feeling uninspired with hair & makeup. I’ve been experimenting with different eye shadow colours, brow shapes, placements & even played around with blush, contour & highlights but today was the first time I felt like I’d gotten something right. I know this is neutral colours, i’ve not done anything crazy & it’s by no means revolutionary, but for the first time in a long time I looked at my finished makeup & actually enjoyed the work I’d done, so I figured it was time to start sharing again. Wow what a throwback! This brings back so many good & bad memories. A true mix of emotions that ultimately fills me with joy to look back on and I can’t believe it was SEVEN years ago! Back in my early days of drag I entered a few competitions. I was part of the first crop of queens at @methedragqueen competition at ‘Block Bar’ which later became ‘Her Upstairs’ An iconic competition that saw the likes of @officialsistersister @itstayce @kittyscottclaus @cheryldragqueen @gingzilla pass through as the years went by and that’s just the @dragraceukbbc queens. (Apologies if I’ve accidentally missed anyone). With scene icons like @misstaylortrash @margomarshall_ @theophelialove @herrthequeen @felixlefreak and countless others (who I apologise if I’ve forgotten to mention) who were part of this moment in time I just want to say this: This time was bloody awesome but also so heartbreaking and very bittersweet, especially with how it all ended. #AD This summer I’ve teamed up with @airup to ‘excite the ordinary’ by adding a splash of colour to my water intake. Being an online streamer by day & a stage performer by night, I use my voice nearly all day, every day. To ensure I keep my voice in good condition, I drink lots and lots of good old H20 as water is one of the best ways to keep my vocal cords lubricated. Drinking so much water can get pretty boring but not with AirUp. The AirUp team challenged me to put together a look inspired by one of their wide range of flavours and I decided to go with my personal favourite, Strawberry & Lemongrass. I think the look was a success, nothing screams elegance and summer sophistication like a succulent strawberry! Have you tried AirUp yet and if so what is your favourite flavour? I’m wondering which look I should try next. I think maybe I’ll try something #Green to go with their Sage bottle?
