Vikas Khanna Instagram – Today we had an amazing prayer dance to honor the land on which Bungalow is built. The dance begins with Odissi’s trikhandi (three-fold) pranam seeking the blessings of Mother earth (the ancient ritual of bhoomi pranam), the gods, gurus and seniors. Performances by Surati for Performing Arts choreographed and led by Founder and Artistic Director Rimli Roy. Indian dance movements based on Odissi classical dance from the State of Orissa characterized by its subtle torso movements, asymmetrical stances like tribhangi made of three body bends and fluid wristwork.
