The rest of the photos are from a film camera from a trip to Hamburg in 1999 where we first met.
My dearest (late and beloved) cousin Sonu, who was the closest I’ve had to a brother, took me to Hamburg with him on a business trip. He went to work during the day while I made my new friends in town, introduced to me by Ute in Brooklyn.
We sat at cafes. Walked around. And spent long nights at the China Club and the Poodle Bar. A special pocket of time.
