Debra Messing Instagram – TRIGGER WARNING As the Israel-Hamas war unfolded, the media has painted a one-sided narrative of the reality on the ground -and most recently lied to the public rather than investigating the facts, which resulted in upheaval and violence and a sharp surge of antisemitism, around the globe. This is unacceptable. The media took the word of a terrorist organization, whose goal is to build hatred against all jews, and Israel, versus waiting an HOUR- doing due diligence and getting all of the available information from confirmed sources. Now it has been proven that Israel was not responsible, but the damage was done. No amount of retractions will reverse all the outrage. This is a horrifying time. It is a terrifying time. We need to be able to rely on our journalists and news outlets. Please don’t rush to catch up with social media. Do your job, and get it right the first time.
