The fashion designer behind the magnificent Chola costumes in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan films, Eka Lakhani (@ekalakhani) started as an intern on the sets of the filmmaker’s Raavan before making her debut as a lead designer on Santosh Sivan’s Urumi. She has been the go-to collaborator for Ratnam since Kadal and has contributed to films such as O Kadhal Kanmani, Sanju, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Leo, and more.
