Last night at the @premidavid with my favorite sisters in the world Alice and Alba Rorhwacher and Josh O’Connors celebrating our 13 nominations for the film LA CHIMERA. I felt most proud to see the great Gianluca Farinelli director of @cinetecabologna wearing the rose made with the wool of one of my sheep, a rare ancient breed of Lincoln Long Wool @livestockconservancy .
I know I am going to write something strange but in my head I see a parallel between artisans who make art films , film preservation and preservation of ancient breed of farm animals . It is all our patrimony .

Rosie is a lab/ golden who 4 days ago gave birth at my home to her 4 puppies. All will become service dogs. I volunteered for @guidedogfoundation for over 20 years . I share Rosie’s “ custody” with Ranger Eric Power @rangerpowers who runs the wild life center @ceed next to my @mamafarm

On Thursday July 25th we will show at @mamafarm a series of short silent films accompanied by life musicians . There is no fee ,but bring your own chair and pic mic. My friend Boykin Curry generously supported this playful and experimental program . He told me he was inspired by my occasional presentation of classical silent films at @manafarm or at the @plazamac . I have learned to love these films hanging out at the @cinetecabologna . The cineteca of Bologna restored all my father’s film #robertorossellini
