I travelled down to South Wales to surprise the founders of Community Volunteers Wales (@snug_coffeeshop ), Tara and Dawn, who won a #ThatsBetterThatsTetley Moment to thank them for the selfless and vital work they do for their community. I teamed up with Tetley to deliver one million That’s Better, That’s Tetley Moments, where you reflect on what goes unrecognised with those who deserve a thank you. After delivering my own #ThatsBetterThatsTetley moment with my grandma to say thank you for always being there throughout my life and career, we asked people up and down the UK to nominate their own community champions to win a surprise visit from me and the @tetleyuk team. From handwritten notes delivered in lockdown to offer help to the community, Tara and Dawn established a not-for-profit community cafe and pantry organising free events to combat loneliness and running monthly food bank collections. Thoroughly deserving winners! It’s been brilliant to learn more about how Tara and Dawn have been shaping their community in Risca.
