Tasha, Ma, Carlito and little scowley face ( me). I love these photos of my ma, she looks so content naughty sensual- standing profoundly in her womanhood . She was making a film ‘La Vacanza’ ( The Holiday) in Italy – her co star Franco Nero was also her partner( and father of their boy) . I had no idea my insta would bizarrely evolve into a photo album – past present and journeys in between , but I suppose that’s actually what we all are . Like all creative endeavours it takes YOU on a journey . It’s probably the closest I ll get to putting it on paper/screen. Franco and mum still call each other most days. They met as Guinevere and Lancelot in the film ‘Camelot’ . All in all, quite a long Vacanza x #holiday#family #italy

The brilliant @maisonbontemps , Loulou the costume designer on ‘The Gentlemen’ posted some of Lady S’s looks- I’d not seen these photos from our costume fittings. Loulou told such great stories of where each piece came from, the details of the gloves “a splash of colour”- costumes based on character and palettes.It brought it all back-the start of the job. It was a busy time and all the studios were booked up so we’d got a battered old building for storage. How the team managed- heating on the blink so freezing. The first thing I saw was the magpie hat , a version of which I wore for our 1st days filming- my husband’s funeral. I wanted to ditch the blond hair as both my gorgeous sons Theo James and Daniel Ings are dark. Guy Ritchie was reluctant at first, until he saw the whole look put together – thank you @niamhmorrisonmakeup and @vellismakeupandhair . So many visits over the years, the luck of seeing the famous Borg McEnroe final, and the legendary Federer Nadal match that went into nightfall. Today, Alcaraz and Djokovic. ‘See the ball, it’s a metaphor ‘ my coach used to say – in other words be present . Meeting Andy Murray! Great bear of a champion-‘ Will to Win’. Funny where life leads us. When I was little I hated having my photo taken. I have so few childhood memories but I so clearly remember being taken for my 1st passport photo. I just refused to play ball as can be seen by my expression. I think they tried to bribe me with a sweet that protrudes from my cheek- still no smile. Honest at least.
