Maude Hirst Instagram – 💍LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE💍 This reel is from our engagement party a few weeks ago. The happiest night full of love. But… I used to not really believe in love stories. Being raised by a bad ass single mum, I had an image of myself one day raising kids alone too. I put all focus on my career, my friendships, the places I felt safe and “in control” of because inevitably romantic love was temporary. With that belief, I didn’t attract the healthiest of relationships. It wasn’t until I did some work on myself that I realised it was my belief around love that was stopping me finding it. I was told that the work to find love wasn’t going to be solved by others but in learning to love myself. So I got to work. I meditated 🧘🏼‍♀️, I saw a therapist 🧠, I danced 💃🏻, I journaled 📝 and over time I started understanding my fears, my desires, my limiting beliefs and learning to accept them all. Only when I learnt to love myself, could I properly love and be loved by someone else. And funnily enough just at that time my fiancé @tlaws87 came into my life & we begun our love story. A vulnerable, honest and kind relationship that I never dreamt would be possible. I share this story because sometimes on here, love stories look easy but they’re not. It takes work to trust in love but it’s worth every minute.
