And now they want to expand their destruction by building a 1,000 km railway – the Ferrogrão—through the heart of the Amazon to ship more grain out of the country. Meanwhile the majority of Brazil’s population is in poverty, and millions still don’t have access to healthy fresh food. I may be on the other side of the world but I love my Australian brands (@savannahmorrowthelabel @estiloemporio @nagnata_ ) who are thoughtful and innovative when it comes to circular textiles – especially in the world of lounge and sportswear. My life now almost exclusively consists of home, work and the @atomyoga studio. Plus my weekly farmers market trip – all of which I prefer to do in comfy breathable, biodegradable fabrics like RWS certified merino wool. Most but not all of these items are 100% biodegradable- meaning I will have to wear and care for them until I die or until some decent textile recycling comes around – hopefully the latter come sooner than the former but these are the kinds of questions I ask my designer friends and I appreciate when they give me honest answers. We are all working fast and furiously to make fully biodegradable sportswear a real thing… so stay tuned and stay away from @lululemon . There are much better choices out there if you want to look good while you work out 🪷♻️
