I’m so excited to let you know that today I am handing over my Instagram to @ActionAidUK for the day, so that you can find out about their #LetHerLearn Christmas Appeal. With 129 million girls out of school around the world, the campaign is all about ensuring girls can access the education that is their human right. Every girl has a right to learn, but millions of girls are missing from classrooms around the world because of poverty, violence, and gender discrimination. The situation has only been made worse by the Covid-19 pandemic. As an ActionAid ambassador it is a huge honour to be able to handover this channel to some of the incredibly inspiring women and girls that ActionAid works with. I recently met Happy, Margaret and Christine on a video call and can’t wait for you to meet them too. These powerful young women live in Kenya and ActionAid has supported them to get back into education after they were forced to drop out. I really hope you enjoy a peek into their lives and feel as inspired as I do. Check out ‘ActionAid’ in my Stories highlights to find out more. And to donate to ActionAid’s appeal to help girls around the world transform their own futures, please tap the link in my bio. Thank you so much. 1. Margaret, 15, attends an ActionAid catch-up centre three days a week having dropped out of school. 2. Happy, 13, outside an ActionAid catch-up centre with her classmates. 3. Christine, 20, attended a catch-up centre after also dropping out of education, and is now studying engineering. 4. Teaching materials on the wall of an ActionAid catch-up centre. 5. Girls in class at an ActionAid catch-up centre. #ActionAid #ActionAidUK #GirlsEducation #LetHerLearn
