Lord Banke Bihari’s Murti or Idol was found in Nidhivan in 1864 by Swami Haridas and is considered to be extremely powerful !
Lord Sri Krishna spent his childhood in Vrindavan apart from Mathura and Dwarka and his playful and divine pastimes and interaction with Radha Rani and the Gopis or Gopikas used to be in Vrindavan.
The Nidhivan forest in Vrindavan is where Lord Shri Krishna and Radha Rani performed the famous RaasLeela dance where Radha and Krishna danced together along with the Gopis or Gopikas who were the milk maids. Modern day Nidhivan hosts the Nidhivan Temple that is dedicated to Radha Krishna and is famous for it’s daily miracles that are on public display !
The temple is open only at specific timings to the people as one sees miracles like food offerings to the deities being seen eaten the next morning on a daily basis in spite of a huge lock at the temple! hence nobody is allowed inside the Nidhivan Temple after a certain time post sunset.
