Keeping it real #2: Still not over this photo series; I don’t remember the last time I felt like I was captured truly in my element. It’s happy and light…but every time I see this—I’m hit by a sharp tinge of nostalgia. Have you had those moments when you’re in it and you already know that you’re going to feel a longing for it when you look back? I remember that in these moments here—walking the streets of SoHo, knowing where I’d just come from and where I was going to next—my heart was full and content and yet ever-so-slightly heavy. The duality of both being truly present and also knowing how exactly how the nostalgia was going to eventually feel. (I write poetry though, so of course I kinda enjoy it 🫠) Shot by @tarunkoliyot ✨ Makeup by @spacelordnova 🤍 {Nostalgia, New York City, SoHo Photography, New York Portraits, NYC Magic, Portrait Photography, Model New York, Indian Actor, Actress} #nycphotography #nycportraits #sohophotography #tamilactress #indianactor #nostalgia

Hot from the pan! My super cool #Chutneysambar team ❤️ A #Radhamohan web-series
Keeping it real #1: I’ve always wanted my Instagram to reflect real-ness, a dash of personal stuff, professional of course, vulnerability—a mirror of sorts (as much as possible in this skewed digital world). On that note, I’ve (impulsively) decided to start this series. So, I can take a breather from what my IG is supposed to be and what it can be and then walk the tightrope that is the balance in between. ⚖️ To begin off, here I am, at my friend @vikas_rao’s @signature_movement_space where I was able to get back in touch with practicing dance and rehearsing military style over and over. Having the studio to myself and Vikas ready to jump in to break down the more complicated steps (he’s been doing that forever)—was truly liberating. I was a ballerina since I was 8, obsessed with perfection but never truly being able to attain it. And then, a devastating injury followed by painful rehab. Acting, contemporary and lyrical dance allowed me to breathe my own life and heart into this artform and it changed my life. Do I still wish I could be perfect at the arabesques and attitudes and pirouettes? Absolutely. But for now, this will do 🤍 Swipe to the end for a major throwback to see where acting and dance actually fused together for me :’) Do check out @signature_movement_space, a multi-use space for shoots, events, rehearsals and more! #notanAd 📷: @chinmayitis (actor, dancer, ballerina, ballet dancer turned actor, actress, vulnerability, keeping it real, authenticity journal, artist community) #artistcommunity #balletdancer #indianactor

main dil tere kadma ch rakha dholna ✨ the lyrics of this song 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
heart break is one thing….. picking yourself up to audition again after multiple rejections hoping for those final ‘YESes’…..is another. 🎶 Real talk, it can get super demotivating, embarrassing even (context for why I used this song) to get rejected/shortlisted and rejected/almost confirmed and rejected, even when you’ve put in your best. It does, in fact, hurt your ego. Auditioning doesn’t get easier, you just get better and more resilient. As any good actor knows—you just gotta pick yourself up and do the work again (easier said than done, I know). But WHEN that ‘YES’ comes, it is worth every bit of the tough parts! Manifesting more ‘You’re selected!’ moments for me and my fellow artists ♥️✨ (Actors, Indie Actor, Auditioning, Audition Anxiety, Artist Community, Actor Community, Self Confidence, Resilience, Sabrina Carpenter Trend) #actorslife #auditioning #auditionseason #artistcommunity #indianactor #sabrinacarpenter #trendingreels
