Super proud mama moment. Here’s an excerpt from a short micah made for his camp talent show yesterday. A little backstory: The day after Peter and the kids got home after visiting me in Toronto, Peter took Micah, Hannah and their camp besties to a pre scouted location to shoot this short. Micah learned a lot about shot lists and story boards from our team on my show and arrived to the location with a very precise shooting plan. He already had it edited in his brain. They shot for a couple hours and then micah spent probably 50 hours or so over the past two weeks editing, adding special effects, music and sound effects to create this short to be shown for the talent show at camp yesterday. He taught himself (through you tube tutorials) to create special effects plug ins to increase efficiency with the light saber effect. When I told him how impressed I was with his dedication, focus and passion – he said “well, Mommy- you know- I love what I do”. I’m absolutely blown away by this kid- so happy that he’s found his people at this amazing camp (shout out to Amelia and enna and of course Hannah @danapupkin1 ), and so happy that he “loves what he does” 🥹🥹🥹. And I’m so happy he has such amazing friends to share this joy with. #specialeffects #filmaking #kiddirector

Look at those babies. 🥰🥰 This is our first picture together. My over tweezed eyebrows, oversized t shirt and overalls totally won his heart. And good lord look at him! Hottie pants! 😍😍I was 18 and he was 22. Our first date – after writing and talking for 8 months. I love this man. So grateful we found each other so young. Could not do this life without him ❤️❤️

Sarah Drew Instagram – Eric’s faith journey in @sexeducation is one of the most beautiful depictions of a real, raw walk through questions of faith and identity. I’m blown away by the writing on this show and by @ncutigatwa ‘s heartbreaking portrayal of Eric. He is all light and love and heart. Not to mention a comic genius. And also- @jodiesmith ‘s gorgeous portrayal of mysterious woman/God/Jesus? Chef’s kiss! This scene had me bawling.
