This is me sharing my opinion and experience.
1) Popular opinion – “Don’t workout when on your periods” . I DISAGREE. I can and in fact make sure I train during my periods. There are cycles when I am severely cramping or can’t hit the gym, even then, I make sure I atleast stretch or do a little yoga. However there are days when I just cannot do anything physical (even stretches) and I don’t . I listen to my body and maybe that’s the best advice you can get- listen to your body. But do not let your mind, make your periods an excuse to not workout. And yes, follow what your doctor/ gynac tells you 🙂

2) “You can’t work out wearing a menstrual cup” some of them say … And I DISAGREE 🙂 Post partum, it took me 6 different cups to finally find the one I am most comfortable with . The last few months I have been training wearing my dear cup and believe it or not, it feels better than wearing a sanitary napkin. And no, I haven’t had any accidents with my cup at the gym (like no popping during squats, lunges etc) So try it for yourself, and see what works for you and your body.
