Alicia Zubikowski Instagram - On 8.21.19 life changed forever for me as cancer tried to derail my journey and question my purpose. But it was at that moment that life took on an entirely new meaning for me.

Life is about the people and experiences we have and to be honest this entire Pivot has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears but it’s also been the experience of a lifetime working with @fredtaylor @realrclark @officialchanningcrowder because there is NO ONE better.

Never could I imagine that 3 years later, I’d be standing in Times Square with these 3 guys looking up at how our work has not only captivated the world but has impacted so many. The greatest compliment isn’t the numbers but the people who come up to us and are affected by our message in someway- that to me is what’s it all about.

I appreciate all the love and support on my health journey but also on the PIVOT that has truly impacted my life on so many levels.

Celebrating last night was the best reminder of why we do what we do and all the sacrifices we make along the way…❤️

One of my favorite nights of the year! Love being surrounded by my friends and peers who are the best at what they do and last night was extra special because I got to share it with my Pivot Family. Emmy nominations hit a little different when it’s for something you created from scratch because it means that much more, we didn’t win but it felt like it just because we were in the room the way people talked to us about our show…I’m grateful for @realrclark @channingcrowder @fredtaylor for pouring into our platform, making it as powerful as it is and loving the work as much as I do (ok maybe not that part but most of the time loving the work) 🎬

Thank you to all our peers, colleagues and the Academy of Television for nominating us, recognizing our work and considering our platform one of the best in the industry. As a Podcast, to break into the world of television and receive the nomination for Outstanding Hosted Edited Series joining legendary shows like @hbo Real Sports and E60 is a honor we don’t take lightly. Being amongst so many talented creators and filmmakers last night was humbling yet motivating. A time was had & We are grateful.

So grateful that we woke up super early today and got right back at it…back on our Pivot filming with compelling guests, having impactful conversations and continuing to create unique content- because in the end, we all have a story to tell.

Alicia Zubikowski Instagram - Wow. What a wild 2 years. When we started this show, we knew we had something special but more importantly, we had the right people to Pivot.

Today, finding out that The Pivot is nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Hosted Edited Series is truly remarkable and the recognition from our peers and media industry is overwhelming and appreciated.

It’s been a lot of sleepless nights, early mornings, long drives from state to state and sacrifices but we wouldn’t trade the journey for anything! We’ve redefined the word Pivot and built this from the ground up…people always ask how big our team is and we look around at each other and say: This is us.

Not enough words to describe the impact of Ryan, Channing and Fred- so much respect and credit for pivoting from football careers to finding the right balance and put their own spin on what this show could be, and ALWAYS being your true selves. Through vulnerability of not being afraid to openly share or show emotion or shed tears or be brutally honest at times, we’ve created a platform people have come to love and respect.

And Extreme gratitude to all of the people and guests who have given us their time, trusted us with their story, laughed with us, cried with us and helped make The Pivot what it is today. In such a short time, we formed a family with our crew, with every person who’s sat with us and all of you who consistently show up on Tuesdays and Fridays to support us.

Alicia Zubikowski Instagram - August/September is always a weird time for me with so much that has gone on...Heading into my birthday tomorrow, It's not lost on me how for how far l've come and how grateful I am for having such amazing people in my life- the friends who've become my family and my family for who've always been my why 💓

I didn't think I liked surprises until a couple weeks ago, when this one came with so much joy, gratitude and a lot of fun, a night filled with my favorite people and favorite things. I was beyond touched how my family, @valeriezubi487 @davezubi31 and friends put together the perfect evening right down to all the details recognizing one of the toughest times in my life with my cancer diagnosis while celebrating a little over (or well maybe a lot over 🫣) three decades of my life.

I can't say enough about everyone from all areas of my life who took the time to make the trip to NY and be there to celebrate with me, I feel very lucky heading into a new season of life and can't wait to see what's ahead 🎬

And special thanks to @thesistersofcedarlakes for being the most stunning and spectacular place to host any event and for being the best friends and neighbors I could have❤️

I started my career at @nflfilms right out of college and it’s been an unbelievable journey since living out my dreams doing things I never thought possible…but being back here today with my NFL Family as we launch the new Inside The NFL, truly can’t be put into words. Back working and creating with the best in the business and some of my favorite people and having guys like my brother @ochocinco and @laflamablanca95 @ifjayhadinstagram w/ one of my pivot fam @officialchanningcrowder and of course when the show was first talked about…there was not even another name in mind who should host this show and today we see why… @realrclark no surprise but you crushed it 🫡

So as the new football season starts, I too remember my first “welcome to the NFL” moment and how working in Mount Laurel, NJ, the Mecca of football and filmmaking, was the best first job and life experience I could ask for! Which is why I second guessed going out on my own to start my production company but my biggest supporter was always Steve Sabol- pushing me to take risks, use my strengths to create and always to cherish relationships along the way. Well the last thing Steve said to me when I left NFL Films is, “Go be great and you always have a place to come back to that is home”. Well my company is still going strong and today felt like coming back home. 🫶❤️

Last time I checked Snoop doesn’t play for The Cowboys but I will use this post as an opportunity to share a little story of how we pulled off 2 of our biggest Pivots hours apart.

Yep our team is so good we made it all work from Covid tests (ya guess that’s still a thing in LA), travel, Set up, filmed with this guy named Dwayne Johnson who actually showed up EARLY (no one does that ever), wrapped & left by 2:30pm…fought thru LA traffic, moved Snoop’s car collection around, loaded in cases of @happydad, set up again and by 4p our cameras weren’t the only things lighting up 💨🫢thankfully Snoop and the guys talked loud enough in between the 100 planes landing next door at LAX for us to record one of our favorite episodes yet.

Full team effort by @realrclark @fredtaylor @officialchanningcrowder moving furniture, carrying cases oh and crushing two amazing shows! And to @john @russwitdablazer @killadillacanam who were on set helping @tnstudiosinc @edeeebs18 @olivieahhh_ @_alexqian Ollie & Travis make it all work! And thank you for @randysdonuts for being so darn good! 🥰

My big 3, where my roots will always be @nflfilms and then the all nighters following our fighters with my @shosports family and of course now @thepivot which is proof that when you love something so much it doesn’t feel like work❤️

Congrats to everyone who was recognized last night, win or lose, a trophy is pretty cool but it doesn’t quantify the endless hours and passion poured into what you do everyday to make our industry the standard.

“You can die & come back a million times. You can’t find that energy.”

If you asked what Kitchie’s job title was it would have read “Floyd Mayweather’s Assistant”. If you asked her responsibilities it would have read “EVERYTHING”. Ironically we sat with @floydmayweather days before the “Only Super Bowl she wanted to go to”. She was Floyd’s best friend, most loyal supporter, & confidant. Even the man who could buy anything can’t buy back that authenticity, love, & dedication. The tears that flowed down his face are the physical manifestation of the immense grief her loss has caused for many, most importantly the Champ.
