Ayan Mukerji Instagram - YJHD - My second child, a piece of my heart and soul - 10 years old today! ā¤ļø I think after all these years, I can confidently say thatā€¦ Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it - with all its perfections and imperfections - is a source of great eternal pride for me! Strangely, I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fully from beginning to end, since the day it released ā€¦ (Always pushing towards the next milestone, and not looking back enoughā€¦!) But when Iā€™m older and wiser - I think I will watch the movie atleast once a year - because a big part of who I was and how I looked at life - is forever captured in this movie ! In the recent months, I have often had people recognise me and come up to meā€¦ and Iā€™m thinking they will say something about Brahmāstra, and then they started talking about YJHD ! So, putting out a whole lot of gratitude for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaniā€¦ and all the many people who connected deeply with the movie over the years ! ā¤ļøšŸŽˆšŸ’„ Also sharing a Directorā€™s Note I had written at the time, in my story which someone special from my team shared with me a few days agoā€¦ and it brought back all kinds of memories for me ! Ayan Mukerji Instagram - Ido Portal. As we started on this movie, the first big question to answer was : How do we create the moves for Shivaā€™s connection with Fire? Fire being the centre of Shivaā€™s power in Brahmāstra... a power that comes from ancient Indians, from a deeply spiritual place, from within. I had no reference point for what I had written... No comic books, or existing story on which this was based... but for Shivaā€™s movements, we needed something that worked amazingly as action entertainment, but also had something deeper, something that was created from a very original spiritual place. It was one of the great fortunes for the movie that I found Ido and understood what he did, and that he agreed to work with Ranbir on this. Our time with Ido has taken us from Phuket to Berlin, Mumbai, Tel Aviv and Sofia... (I called it out in an earlier post of mine) Now this beautiful auspicious festive day is hereā€¦ and after many days of continuing to work on the music post the movieā€™s releaseā€¦ we finally finished work on all the songs going on the music album last evening!
