Brooke Leigh Thorne Instagram - Day 10! We skipped a day oops! Sunday is our potluck BBQ so after my stream Sam and I cleaned up the back garden (he refused to be in the picture šŸ˜«). I cranked that sucker up because every time I walked away to dry it, Clarke had a fit LOL why? I dunno but it made a long process even longer so high heat and full blast it is! Brooke Leigh Thorne Instagram - Day 15?? Clarke and I are both losing hair. Itā€™s very normal post partum, although I didnā€™t get to have luxurious thick hair while pregnant booo. Clarkeā€™s hair is accidentally mohawking and Iā€™m a fan. We bought our first ā€œmommy and meā€ items: matching sunglasses. Poor thing is going on walks with me every other day and no amount of shaders make the sun dim enough for her poor little peepers so I got us sick shades. Naturally, she immediately flung them off her face so uh whoops? The walks have been so nice as an excuse to leave the house when itā€™s a bit cooler but the process to get her ready to go keeps adding more and more things. Poor girl. Brooke Leigh Thorne Instagram - Day 5! ā€œWhy didnā€™t I grab a smaller brush?ā€ I muttered to myself while splattering paint on the end table in irritation. For whatever reason these drawers donā€™t come out of this end table so Iā€™m having to paint them while theyā€™re inside the thing. Itā€™s slow but itā€™s a fun project and managing to get Clarke to sleep in another room makes a lot of difference. Sheā€™s been getting overtired and upset lately during the day. Iā€™ve found that I have a lot of guilt while trying to get her to sleep. Itā€™s like Iā€™m saying ā€œplease go to sleep so I donā€™t have to deal with youā€...but if sheā€™s up for too long, she doesnā€™t know how to fix it. She doesnā€™t know that sheā€™s tired or that she needs to sleep. She just knows that something is WRONG and sheā€™s UPSET so if my job is to help her sleep and be happier, there shouldnā€™t be any guilt...and if I get to use that time on nice projects like this, Iā€™ll take advantage more often šŸ‹

Brooke Leigh Thorne Instagram - Day 19 (if weā€™re going by days of the month...)! I remember sitting at a campsite with a friend a long time ago. The air was humid and salty but I felt really relaxed. My dad and I used to take yearly trips to the beach and she happened to be there with her family. ā€œWere you really mad earlier? I saw you walking with your dad and thought you were angry about something.ā€ Huh? I definitely hadnā€™t been upset about anything...but as I got older I heard this identical sentiment from more friends. ā€œI drove by you when you were on a walk and you looked furiousā€ ā€œI hope youā€™re doing okay! I saw you pacing outside and the look on your face had me worried!ā€...so I guess I just look angry when I walk...and lately Iā€™ve been walking A LOT. Clarke and I are going on walks almost daily at this point. It feels nice to get outside and sheā€™s excited when we get ready to go...and yet every time I pass a neighbor or see someone else on a walk I think ā€œI hope I donā€™t look mad while walking with my babyā€ LOL. I donā€™t know why but I used to like that I seemed angry and unapproachable while walking since itā€™s so contrary to my character...but now I kind of hope I give off more of a happy mom vibe while walking with my kid. In the end, nobody else really matters honestly. As long as she starts to understand that this is a fun activity we do together and she enjoys it Im Happy šŸŒ¼

The air was humid and salty but I felt really relaxed. My dad and I used to take yearly trips to the beach and she happened to be there with her family. ā€œWere you really mad earlier? I saw you walking with your dad and thought you were angry about something.ā€ Huh? Caption : Day 19 (if weā€™re going by days of the month…)! I remember sitting at a campsite with a friend a long time ago. The air was humid and salty but I felt really relaxed. My dad and I used to take yearly trips to the beach and she happened to be there with her family. ā€œWere you really mad earlier? I saw you walking with your dad and thought you were angry about something.ā€ Huh? I definitely hadnā€™t been upset about anything…but as I got older I heard this identical sentiment from more friends. ā€œI drove by you when you were on a walk and you looked furiousā€ ā€œI hope youā€™re doing okay! I saw you pacing outside and the look on your face had me worried!ā€…so I guess I just look angry when I walk…and lately Iā€™ve been walking A LOT. Clarke and I are going on walks almost daily at this point. It feels nice to get outside and sheā€™s excited when we get ready to go…and yet every time I pass a neighbor or see someone else on a walk I think ā€œI hope I donā€™t look mad while walking with my babyā€ LOL.
