Christian Kane Instagram - I will miss my friend #NickiAycox Just got home from Asia and learned of her passing from her battle with Leukemia in November.. I feel I should speak of our story. Not only did we go to college together in Oklahoma, we were good friends in college. Neither one of us knew we had made the move to L.A. to pursue our dream but what are the chances of two kids, from Oklahoma, who were friends, ending up on the same network, the same night, on two different shows? The odds? We all donā€™t have that many fingers put together. After watching #leverage on #TNT you would stay tuned for #darkblue I thought the world of her. She was always so kind to me. I was fortunate enough to be there. Aside from his mama I believe I may have been the first one to give him a hug. So you see, Iā€™ve watched him grow from a fantastic actor into a fantastic actor. Christian Kane Instagram - The first time I met Keith David @silverthroat was at an awards ceremony. I walked up and shook his hand and without either realizing, we had ended up giving each other a hug. I was a huge fan of his and come to find out, he watched Leverage and knew who this kid was. I was so honored. I proceeded to take a huge step by asking an American icon to do me a favor. I said ā€œI have an idea for you to come play a role on Leverageā€ a role that has been up front in my characters mind that @officialdeandevlin @jonrog1 and I came up with almost during season 1 of Leverage. I didnā€™t/couldnā€™t tell him what it was, but he said heā€™d love to. Low and behold the time came for me to make the call and he said yes. He blessed me with a figure that was a ghost in my mind and when He walked in as the character, Iā€™m telling youā€¦. not another actor in the world was better for this piece of an intricate puzzle that was always present but always missing. Not only did we go to college together in Oklahoma, we were good friends in college. Neither one of us knew we had made the move to L.A. to pursue our dream but what are the chances of two kids, from Oklahoma, who were friends, ending up on the same network, the same night, on two different shows? I know to many of you it seems not healthy, but there were so many of you that have reached out, #kaniacs and people that have wished me well. Many to say, I hope youā€™re OK, but so many said they were going through a similar situation, so I felt a need to reach out. What do I do in this situation? You guys have always had my back. Soā€¦ with the power youā€™ve invested in me, I want to share what I do. When youā€™re in your head, and the road youā€™re on seems a bit clouded, and the vision is not yours, get in the car/truck by yourself and pour a fuck load of gasoline on a bunch of horses and drive through it. Iā€™ve done this for years and it has always made me see clearer. Im ok! My wish now for you guys in 22 is that you are too. Weā€™ve been hurting and struggling these past few years, some with no consideration or help or understanding from others. For those who canā€¦ talk to someone. They will listen. For those who canā€™t. Put the fuckin pedal down. Youā€™re not driving away from your life, youā€™re racing into this year. I love you all. Youā€™ve not only given me a life but youā€™ve made it better. Though we donā€™t talk, I hear your voices and have smiled, laughed, and cried with you. Here we go folks. Itā€™s up to us. We start now!
