Condoleezza Rice Instagram - The United States is unique — not bound together by ethnicity, nationality, or religion, but by a common aspiration: that you can come from humble circumstances and do great things. Let us celebrate today our freedom and extraordinary set of institutions, and each continue to strengthen this great experiment that is America.
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - Happy #FathersDay to all those who deserve recognition and celebration this special weekend.

My father, John, led an extraordinary life. Guided by his faith in God and belief in human progress, he was an evangelist for education and a powerful voice for equity, making the world a better place through his mentorship of young men and women and his resolve to bridge seemingly impossible divides. He was also the most loving father and husband, devoted to providing a safe and happy home with my mother and always supportive of my dreams. He fostered in me a love of sports, history, and country. Though I miss him and my mother every day, they remain by my side through their everlasting guiding presence.
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - Today the sun has set on the longest reigning monarch in British history. For more than 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II led a life entirely dedicated, not to herself, but to the service of her country and subjects. Her Majesty remained always a steady hand, even throughout the most trying of times. Our hearts both break for and stand in solidarity with our British friends during this historically sad day. May God bless her memory and may she rest in eternal peace.
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - On this #MothersDay, may we take time to reflect on and celebrate the women in each of our lives who have had important roles.

I was blessed with an extraordinary mother, Angelena, who believed passionately in the value of education and the importance of the arts. She was a teacher, a church organist and produced operettas with her high school students. Loving and strong beyond measure, she reinforced educational opportunities to shield me against circumstances. Her spirit lives on today in me and in the many lives she touched. She and my father were the best parents anyone could have - I thank God for them every day.
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - I grew up in segregated Jim Crow Alabama, where no one batted an eye if the police killed a black man. There wouldn’t have been even a footnote in the local press. So it is a source of pride for me that so many have taken to the streets — peacefully — to say that they care: that they, too, are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Yet protests will take our country only so far. The road to healing must begin with respectful but honest and deep conversations, not judgments, about who we were, who we are and who we want to become. Let us talk with, not at, each other — in our homes, schools, workplaces and places of worship. And if we are to make progress, let us vow to check the language of recrimination at the door. As united Americans, we can then turn our fears into faith, hope, compassion and action. And then we can accept and carry out our shared responsibility to build “a more perfect union.” Yet, any call to action will be empty if it does not move us to individual responsibility. We all have a role to play in moving our country forward, in ensuring that our democracy delivers not just for those who have but also for those who seek and for those in need.

So I ask my fellow Americans: What will each of you do? My personal passion is educational opportunity, because it is a partial shield against prejudice. It is not a perfect shield, I know, but it gives people a fighting chance. In my conversations, I want to discuss why the learning gap for black kids is so stubborn and what can be done about it. What is your question about the impact of race on the lives of Americans? And what will you do to find answers?

My thoughts on this moment in our history at the link in bio.
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - Today, may we recognize and honor our veterans and their families, who have made tremendous sacrifices in service to our nation and to the cause of freedom. Thank you for your service. #VeteransDay
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - On this solemn day, may we always remember those we lost as well as the extraordinary bravery we witnessed. Our nation is resilient. Let us come together once again to address the challenges we face and work toward the ideals that unite us as Americans.

Condoleezza Rice Instagram - I am truly saddened to learn of the passing of Madeleine Albright, an American giant whose life and legacy will be remembered for generations to come. She was the last secretary of state for the 20th century and the first of the 21st century. She was not only a trailblazer for women worldwide, but a fearless fighter for freedom on behalf of all humanity. For me personally, I have lost an invaluable colleague and a very dear friend whom I will miss tremendously.

When I was studying music at the University of Denver, I took a class on international politics from a professor who changed the course of my life. That professor was Madeleine’s father, Josef Korbel. How extraordinary that two female secretaries of state, from opposites sides of the political spectrum, would be influenced by the same man. While we had our differences on policy, we shared a deep appreciation for this country and for freedom around the world.

Condoleezza Rice Instagram - This year's Fourth of July marks the 247th anniversary of the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress. An extraordinary document, the preamble sought to unite a disparate group of colonists around a common vision of equality for all mankind based on a set of unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. May we each reflect on our nation’s history this Independence Day, celebrate our progress, and choose daily to contribute to a more perfect America.  Happy Birthday, America.

Condoleezza Rice Instagram - Secretary George Shultz loved his country and loved serving it – whether on the battlefields of World War II or the gilded rooms of diplomacy in foreign capitals around the world. He was a great American statesman and a true patriot in every sense of the word. In his 100 consequential and well-lived years, George made an impact. He will be remembered in history as a man who made the world a better place.

Now, we will have to carry on the work that George challenged us to do – to love freedom and opportunity and to never lose a thirst for learning. May he rest in peace. (📸: AP)
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - Each #MothersDay, I am reminded of the love and strength of my mother, Angelena, and the parents I was blessed to have. My mother, a teacher, believed that education and the arts could provide opportunity. Here, the two of us pose for the cameras after one of her student-led performances which she organized wherever she taught, believing that they could make a difference for kids and bringing our community together. Though I miss my parents every day, often it has been their presence, not their absence, that I’ve experienced and I am forever grateful for them.
Condoleezza Rice Instagram - Dianne Feinstein will always be remembered as an extraordinary and influential figure in American political history. She was principled and dedicated.

I was grateful to her for stepping across the aisle and introducing me to the Senate in my confirmation process for Secretary of State in 2005. She was also a good friend.

Rest in Peace. Dianne, after a life well lived.

Like most of the civilized world, I was shocked and horrified by the brutal terrorist attack from Hamas on Israel. This is an unprecedented and barbaric attack on innocent civilians, including Americans. Any group that would employ such tactics cannot be considered a legitimate representative of any cause, most especially that of the Palestinian people. These are terrorists and their acts must be forcefully condemned by decent people everywhere.

Condoleezza Rice - 7K Likes - Secretary George Shultz loved his country and loved serving it – whether on the battlefields of World War II or the gilded rooms of diplomacy in foreign capitals around the world.

(📸: AP)

Condoleezza Rice - 6.6K Likes - Each #MothersDay, I am reminded of the love and strength of my mother, Angelena, and the parents I was blessed to have.

Condoleezza Rice - 6.6K Likes - Dianne Feinstein will always be remembered as an extraordinary and influential figure in American political history. She was principled and dedicated.

I was grateful to her for stepping across the aisle and introducing me to the Senate in my confirmation process for Secretary of State in 2005. She was also a good friend.

Rest in Peace. Dianne, after a life well lived.
