He was retired more years than he was employed. He traveled the world almost spending more time in other countries than his own. Hundreds of photo albums documenting all they saw and friends they met. I’m happy that he’s with his love again (our stepmom) of 50 years who passed away one and a half years ago. He always had a smile to give, a hand to squeeze and a kiss to show his love. We’ve been honoring his life by revisiting some the many places we spent time with them in Seattle. We’ll miss you Dad, thank you for all the love, the cruises and life you gave us. The most profound advice he gave us during our last time with him was “it’s okay to just be OK.” 🙏❤️🙏

Constance Zimmer Instagram - This will be our first Christmas without our dad. We lost our stepmom before Christmas in 2022. It’s surreal feeling like I’m forgetting to call them and then realizing they’re both gone now. I’m so happy for them that they are in some form, back together. Christmas was always JoAnne’s favorite holiday especially when it snowed. I’m grateful that I got to watch them live their lives to the fullest and take trips with them to places we may never have traveled to otherwise. My dad would say “I’m glad I lived the life that was right in front of me!” May you always be able to live the life that is right in front of you. #happyholidays

It’s surreal feeling like I’m forgetting to call them and then realizing they’re both gone now. I’m so happy for them that they are in some form, back together. What I have found to help is to do something everyday that makes you smile, that makes you feel like you are taking care of yourself.
