Dave Leduc Instagram - It was a privilege to fight my last dance in Cambodia against a world champion like Prom Samnang. (Honestly Samnang has one best jaw on the planet no joke. I still don’t know how he got up from the overhand. Beast)

We fought like ancient warriors and showcased the timelessness of #KunKhmer 🇰🇭 and #Lethwei 🇲🇲 Thank you all for the amazing support throughout my career, I love you all! ⚔️ now it’s time to take care of my family, business and enjoy the fruits 🙏🏼🍇

Shoutout to my mentor @sifupatrickmarcil for doing 35 hours from Canada to coach me. Very special to have my Sifu with me for this historic fight.

Dave Leduc Instagram - Its official. I will be fighting my retirement fight against Prom Samnang, current champion and biggest star of Cambodia on November 5 in Phnom Penh City. This will be the biggest fight in Cambodia’s thousands of years of history and the entire country of 16,000,000 & my fans worldwide will be watching. The new Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Manet has officially invited us to meet him before the fight, which as never been done before. This fight will be gigantic.

This year Samnang won the 2023 Thai Fight Kard Chuek championship title and he just won Gold medal at the SEA Games (guess who was against him in the finals? Myanmar 🇲🇲 Tun Tun Min) So he won on points against my nemesis at the SEA games. He has 150 fights, 140 wins, 73 KOs and he’s currently on a 32 fights winning streak. Respect, but Imma show him who’s the real king. I am excited for the challenge. What’s even more exciting is that we will fight like ancient warriors: KO to win (no scoring system), traditional Kun Khmer ropes (see pic) and 1 single round of 9 minutes (no rounds).

Lethwei rules was out of the question for them so we’re meeting on “neutral rules”. I have accepted no headbutts, I have accepted the ropes instead of gloves, I have only asked to have at least one thing of Lethwei which is the KO to win, which they agreed. They suggested to make it one round and I thought that was really badass. So there it is, the Last Dance! This should be a documentary

I negotiated a deal so my fans will be able to watch the event for FREE Live on YouTube and on my FB page🙏 so make sure you go follow me on FB @kingleduc, we almost at 2M followers

* My partners 1XBET is apparently making odds for the fight, I’ll keep you posted. You will be able to bet on me 😎 if you bet against me you are f**king ignorant. Love you all

After this fight, im done, opening the biggest gym @leduclethwei in Latin America 🌴 hope to see you all there

Dave Leduc Instagram - Hi everyone, I have an important message... I am very grateful and fortunate that my career has made me live so many great moments. I want to thank everyone who always supported me. I was honored to fight great battles and share the ring in my prime with the best Lethwei fighters. I was also fortunate to have fought many times in Tokyo, Japan and to have contributed to bringing Lethwei in the USA.

I was the first Lethwei fighter to become an ambassador for the conglomerates Canal and 1xbet and made history as the first Lethwei fighter to make the cover of the renowned @karatebushido magazine what an honor after martial artists such as Bruce Lee (1974), Van Damme (1993), Bas Rutten (1997), Rickson Gracie (1998), Fedor (2007), GSP (2008), Francis Ngannou (2019).

I have dedicated my career and my life to promoting Myanmar Lethwei to the world. I conducted around 100 Lethwei seminars in 30 countries, which had never been done before in the history of the sport. I waved the Myanmar flag in all my travels, and we can now be very proud that Lethwei is being practiced all around the world.

I defended the Golden Belt title 9 times from many different international challengers under traditional rules (KO only to win) and remained undefeated. I am proud to say that I was able to hold all the major Openweight belts. I sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears to get to the top of Lethwei and these titles are my rewards. Thank you to my mentor @sifupatrickmarcil for everything.

I will now focus on my family, business, and opening the @LeducLethwei MMA & Fitness gym (location TBD).

The state of the world and the situation in Myanmar in the last 3 years has made it incredibly difficult for me to continue my career… It’s a very sad time as citizens including some Lethwei fighters have been injured or arrested. Recently I was very saddened to hear that Too Too, my former opponent has been killed in custody.

I want to thank everyone for the continuous support, but I am officially retiring from Lethwei & professional fighting. I have been invited to make one last fight in Cambodia under Kun Khmer, it will be my last competition. Thanks for the amazing ride, love you all 👊🏼💛
Dave Leduc Instagram - It was a real honor and privilege to be invited by his excellency Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Dr. Hun Manet to the Peace Palace. He is very educated and spoke to me in my native language French, and in English. I was very impressed. He is also a gentlemen as he kindly made sure my wife Irina was included in the photo.

I feel so welcomed in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Everyone is so nice and kind. I think the western world needs to know more about Cambodia. I already love your country so much and I see so much potential using martial arts to grow tourism. As His excellency Hun Manet said in our meeting, he fully supports traditional martial arts and the army is requested to learn Kun Khmer for discipline and strenght. I think it’s a great initiative. I expressed that this match is only the beginning of my involvement in Cambodia. I think massive growth is about to happen and I want to help the population in this adventure.

Don’t @ me, im retired now, enjoying the fruits 🍎

Crazy to think that a small town kid born in Canada got accepted by a nation in Asia and his retirement fight would contribute to the tightening of millennia old friendship between two ancient nations in South East Asia. Wild. Can’t wait to write the book. Can you comment the best name for my book about my life, if I pick your idea, ill send you a gift 🎁

Dave Leduc Instagram - I have a big news to tell everyone. After my last fight, where I was received so warmly by the people of Cambodia, by His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Manet, by the government and immigration officials. We have felt so much positive vibes that I have decided to get a house and move my family to Cambodia!

Cambodia is a great country with a lot of potential and stability to do business. When the situation in my home of Myanmar will be better, I will be very close, as Yangon to Phnom Penh is only a 2 hour flight.

In the meantime, I plan to make my base in Cambodia.
Our house in Europe is currently too far for all my businesses, I need to get back in Asia!

What will I do in Cambodia? I will focus on 3 things: train like an animal, organizing martial arts events with my promotion @worldwidemfc and the other BIG news:
I am starting my MMA/BJJ/Lethwei/Kun Khmer gym in Cambodia called @DAVGym. I will tell you more details very soon! We launch in 2024. (Dav means sword in Khmer language, a play on my name, that’s how they call me in Cambodia)

We are moving officially in 2 months. I hope everyone is ready for our arrival! 😉 Thanks for the support, I love you all
Dave Leduc Instagram - I have a big news to tell everyone.

Dave Leduc Instagram - Rest In Peace brother 🙏…
Right now in the amazing and beautiful country of Myanmar 🇲🇲 there’s unrest… but you probably didn’t even hear about it because there’s no economic benefits to the west to cover it in mainstream media.

We should be as concerned about what’s happening in Myanmar, with what’s happening with Russia/Ukraine.

What is incredible is Myanmar just lost one of its champion Too Too, who was protesting the military coup and was arrested last year.

Too Too, my brother you were a warrior and a legend of Lethwei and one of the toughest guys I have ever fought.

Too Too was the the first one to welcome me into the world of Myanmar traditional Lethwei for my first fight of my career. I was brought in as a sacrificial lamb but we made history with a legendary battle. Even if we had back and forth on social media, know that it was only business brother and I always had great respect for your skills and insane endurance (he never got knocked out in 65 Lethwei fights)

you died as a champ… It was a pleasure to share the ring with you 🙏 Rest In Peace, and I promise you to continue promotion Lethwei, our shared passion 🙏

Dave Leduc Instagram - Training in Myanmar 🇲🇲 (2019 - Before the military coup)
Man, I miss Myanmar… I try to help the people and gyms as much as possible right now and sending money during these atrocious times. Villages burnt, wells poisoned, protesters shot, rights violated, people arrested and killed.. even my former opponent Too Too, the one who welcomed me into Lethwei for my first fight, was just announced dead (via @lethweiworld) it’s a very dark time for the country.

Currently the economy and tourism is at a standstill and it’s plunging the country back into the shadow once again. Since winning the world title in the 2016, we had made amazing strides and brought the sport around the world, thought seminars to over 2000 students, spoke on the biggest podcasts in the world, brought the sport to new countries and live in UFC fight pass. Now that the country is in turmoil, the best I can do is continue to showcase the beautiful and badass art of Lethwei to the world by hosting Lethwei fights in my promotion. Stay strong Myanmar 🇲🇲🙏
Dave Leduc Instagram - After a successful first event, I wanted to go bigger and better for MFC 2, my second event as a promoter. Saying that I’m extremely proud of the work of the whole team at @worldwidemfc would be an understatement! 🙏

We f**king killed it. Partnership with @fitetv, Lethwei world title sanctioned by the @worldlethweifederation, legendary commentary by @robinblackmartialarts and INCREDIBLE bloody fights and stoppages!

*Yes, we named the promotion "Marshall Fighting Championship" after @joerogan‘s dog “Marshall” (@marshallmaerogan) and yes that’s him on the center cage floor, because Marshall is f**king G 😄

Hatala vs Saladiak was a blood war, these guys have my full respect. I will remember this event for ever.

(check out the last slide to see a Robin Black showing the aftermath of our crazy event!)

We are already looking at suitable cities and venues for MFC 3 👀

Dave Leduc Instagram - Today I was invited as guest of honor to meet with the families of 600 veterans who are members of the Cambodian Veterans Association. Fighting in the ring is nothing compared to giving your life and body for your nation. I have an immense amount of respect for them. Thank you for your service. Im happy that I was able to give food, donations and smiles to these courageous men and women.

Dave Leduc - 6.4K Likes - Its official.

Dave Leduc - 4.9K Likes - It was a real honor and privilege to be invited by his excellency Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Dr.

Dave Leduc - 3.7K Likes - I have a big news to tell everyone.

Caption : Rest In Peace brother 🙏… Right now in the amazing and beautiful country of Myanmar 🇲🇲 there’s unrest… but you probably didn’t even hear about it because there’s no economic benefits to the west to cover it in mainstream media.

Caption : After a successful first event, I wanted to go bigger and better for MFC 2, my second event as a promoter. Saying that I’m extremely proud of the work of the whole team at @worldwidemfc would be an understatement! 🙏 We f**king killed it. Partnership with @fitetv, Lethwei world title sanctioned by the @worldlethweifederation, legendary commentary by @robinblackmartialarts and INCREDIBLE bloody fights and stoppages! *Yes, we named the promotion “Marshall Fighting Championship” after @joerogan‘s dog “Marshall” (@marshallmaerogan) and yes that’s him on the center cage floor, because Marshall is f**king G 😄 Hatala vs Saladiak was a blood war, these guys have my full respect. I will remember this event for ever. (check out the last slide to see a Robin Black showing the aftermath of our crazy event!) Dave Leduc - 2.7K Likes - Today I was invited as guest of honor to meet with the families of 600 veterans who are members of the Cambodian Veterans Association. Fighting in the ring is nothing compared to giving your life and body for your nation. I have an immense amount of respect for them. Thank you for your service. Im happy that I was able to give food, donations and smiles to these courageous men and women.
