A. It’s impossible to compare the results of the two performances. They are so different. Back in 1971 we were making a film mostly in daylight. It involved doing a performance of a song, often several times, until the director was satisfied that he had all the shots he needed – a lot of time was spent sitting around doing nothing.
Also, there was no audience.
In 2016 we were playing live at night, playing as well as we could to a lovely enthusiastic audience. The atmosphere was very different. 2016 was much more enjoyable.

The global climate crisis is the greatest challenge that humanity will ever face, and we are within a few years of the effects of global warming being irreversible. As Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish climate activist said in a speech earlier this year, “Either we choose to go on as a civilisation, or we don’t”. The choice really is that simple, and I hope that the sale of these guitars will help ClientEarth in their cause to use the law to bring about real change. Caption : I’m amazed if a collaborative words and music audiobook hasn’t been done before but am thrilled with how this has worked out. Sad for the actor who had to pull out but @pollysamson’s narration surprised us all and it’s been a great project for me during lockdown to also add some instrumental passages between chapters and to record the A Theatre for Dreamers inspired song, Yes, I Have Ghosts, with the help of our daughter, @romany.rose.
