Deborah Mace Instagram - I jumped on a flight the day Italy announced it was reopening to visitors. After 2 years without seeing each other, I surprised my family and just showed up at the door. 🙏
(For those who asked, I’m French Italian) Covid just reminded me of what I already knew, life is about moments: appreciating every single one of them and making the best of the tough ones.
I then checked Lake Como off my bucket list( I’d been there once for a photoshoot but never got a chance to visit) ✨🇮🇹

Here is what I recommend for the fellow world travelers out there:
*Rent a boat from @lake_como_cruise Paolo is an amazing guide ( he knows everything about the Lake as he grew up here.. also his English is perfect 😉)
*Get a Vespa to go around the Lake. The drive from Moltrasio to Como and then Como to Bellagio is breathtaking
*Needless to say food is good everywhere.. but my favorite was @ristoranteimperialino ☺️

Now, I’ll be back in New York for a little bit and then off to France 🇫🇷 ( FINALLY!! )

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I do a lot of Pilates but I started doing yoga during the quarantine last year. ( thanks to my wonderful cousin and teacher @laurane.landry 💕)

Everyone always talked about the benefit of yoga but it took me a while to get to it as I thought it was “ too slow “.

The practice is now part of my daily routine as it helps me connect to my body and my breathe which ultimately helps me cope with stress.

I’m still a beginner and far from perfect but I love putting a spin on some of the poses.

If there’s one thing that I have learned in the past 6 years is that the smallest changes tend to have the most impact on our lives.

January 2015 I simply grabbed a book: ‘How to heal your life “by Louise Hay. Reading it made me question the very essence of what a choice means and opened my curiosity on what it is to live a meaningful life. Little did I know it would be the beginning of the most exciting and yet difficult inner journey.

Hundreds of books later, it was clear that meditation was something I needed to explore.

I was however very resistant to the practice. Every time I sat down to “meditate” I was uncomfortable and frustrated. I didn’t see the point of it, as I felt it was just a one on one conversation with my “chatty French inner voice’.

I made the choice to keep going, to push through until I would eventually enjoy the practice.

I started with 5 minutes a day. That’s it

A small change that would eventually lead me to further transformations in all areas of my life. ( Including becoming a health coach)
There are so many tools out there to learn and I believe we need to be curious about all of them to see what works best for us.

I love reading so of course books were the triggers.

However, from attending workshops and classes I have realized that the way someone delivers a message can touch us differently even if we’ve heard it before.
This is how we move from hearing, listening, and finally integrating the information in our lives.

A place where I’ve learned so much was @mindvalley . I have always found founder and CEO @vishen deeply inspiring. The platform offers the perfect place to learn and transform yourself.

It’s a never-ending journey, and being part of the community helps you connect to other people who are also looking for ways to a more conscious life.

I am currently finishing up another one of their programs, with the incredible @michaelbbeckwith and I’m so grateful 🙏

Deborah Mace - 3K Likes - Make time for yourself and make it a priority. I started scheduling it ( literally on my calendar 🤣)so I don’t forget to pause if not I’m constantly nonstop and weeks go by without prioritizing “ me time“. If you live in NYC, here are my favorite things to unwind:

* Muscle testing and lymphatic/ CBD massage at @healing.arts.nyc ✨You know I’m a big believer in holistic medicine and Dr Armitstead helped me in ways no other doctor did. ( and no pills 😁) So grateful for her
* Energy treatment and clearing at @sunkyeongny This place is an oasis of peace in the middle of the concrete jungle

Also, I used to do Pilates on the reformer 3 times a week but when the pandemic hit I discovered ( like many others :) @melissawoodhealth and now I can’t live without her. I completely changed my workout routine. I now mix Pilates and Yoga almost every day, even 10-15 minutes does wonders for my body and mind
