Caption : Stretch it out. Whatever that crazy idea is. That big bad dream, the tickling inspiration, that haunting should’ve could’ve would’ve. Throw it out there. I watched a professional discus player do her thing. Rotating and banking energy spin after spin until the disc quite literally is not thrown at all. It is released like a rocket. Fueled by all that focused energy. I then rewatched the same clip over and over. Holy smokes! Imagine if all the steps and all the mini achievements along with, the mistakes, poor performances and everything in between accounted for forward progress? So stretch it out. Caption : I see connection as an essential component of good living and I find food to be one of the most collected ways we connect regardless of our differences. In thinking about this GIVEAWAY with @firstlitehunting I found myself thinking back to a conversation I heard years ago between my tia y tio/aunt and uncle who run a grocery business at the community mercado/market in my Dads home town of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. They where discussing how to increase traffic to their grocery business at the local mercado/market. Orange, Cilantro Chicken drumsticks with @montanamex BBQ & Habanero sauce. Grilled over a mix of Mesquite, Cherry & Hickory on the @traegergrills . We threw a pacboot out as a tip jar with proceeds going to community support. We are humbled by the generosity and show of support and inspired in this donation of $474 to @montanaroots_livingston go fund me campaign. Caption : I see my year broken out into seasons by the month. For example, here in Montana we are slowly rolling into May which typically heralds the first signs of spring and the bounty of our wild foods. Caption : Springtime was planted last October. This year we saw it’s first signs sometime in late January. Arugula, Kale, Mizuna, Beets, Spinach, Chard and assorted lettuce. Sprouted against winters odds. Defiantly or proudly depending on how you see it. I eat this salad with gusto and gratitude.
