Georgie Barrat Instagram - Back on @jeremyvineon5 this morning joining the panel and doing an explainer on AI. Been reading a lot recently about the impact AI is going to have on jobs and the real dangers of it. By 2050 it’s going to be a billion times smarter than the smartest human 🤯 Quite incredible how much it’s going to impact our lives over the next few decades…#jeremyvineshow

Georgie Barrat Instagram - Never easy discussing something like the Israel and Hamas conflict live on TV. It’s a nuanced and complicated debate where people on both sides are feeling fear, grief and complete dread. I was surprised and a little shocked though by some of the comments made by callers on today’s program. There was an undeniable antisemitic tone to their remarks, which was chilling to witness. It doesn’t matter where you stand on what’s happening, there is no place for antisemitism. Sending love to anyone who’s experienced this personally in the past week and of course my heart goes out to all the innocent lives that have been destroyed by this conflict. Let’s not pile hated on top of hatred.
Georgie Barrat Instagram - A bit of a pinch myself moment today, as I took the reins of Alexis Conran show whilst he was away. I do quite a lot of live TV, but never actually hosted a show. It has honestly been my dream for a long time so to be given the opportunity means a lot. I love it all! Talkback, autocue, callers, guests, working with an amazing production team. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to get to this point, so taking a moment to bask in it all 😌

Will be back on tomorrow and Friday this week at 12.40. Thanks to all who tuned in xxx

Georgie Barrat Instagram - Currently having a coffee with an empty pram beside me - what a surreal feeling! Can’t believe this little tinker officially starts nursery today 🥹 Up until now all our childcare has been covered by 2 sets of wonderful grandparents - but we are pulling in reinforcement (not to mention I think it’s great for her to socialise with other babes her age)

While I have left her loads over the past year this definitely feels like a “moment”. Having to buy her new shoes and a backpack and hand over at the door…for the first time she’s going to create her own little world and relationships separate from family life! Go on my girl ✨ I wish you the best of luck ✨

Georgie Barrat Instagram - Weddings don’t come around as frequently as they used to - so an abroad one is a real treat, especially as we managed to do a bit of sightseeing in Rome (albeit with Mr Tumble on in the background)
We would have left the girl at home, but no childcare meant we made do with babysitters for the actual wedding & stumbled our way through some early starts after some late nights 😵‍💫
Unfortunately we had the WORSE journey home as we got caught up in the air traffic control outage ❎ 12 hours at the airport, followed by an extra night in Rome, followed by me booking a new flight to Berlin for work because I didn’t trust I would be able to get out there from the UK 🫠 husband definitely drew the short straw having to fly back solo parenting 😬 Despite all this the wedding was beautiful, the Campari delicious & it was so special watching @alicecsidds & @mark_sidds tie the knot ❤️💕❤️

Georgie Barrat Instagram - Not yet outnumbered by the 👶, but it won’t be long! First time doing a longer stay in Cornwall and I have to say we were very taken with it. Nothing beats an English seaside sesh, with boogie boards, sand everywhere & sandcastle building. We really lucked out with the weather. A few highlights included dinner @ricksteinrestaurants in Padstow, a brewery tour @harbourbrewing, sundowners @marinersinrock & brunch @fourboys.cafe. The girl bless her was teething like a crazy lady - so we had a few disturbed nights 🤪& tougher days 🤪 bottles of calpol were drunk 🤪. However we now leave with new 4 molars, so get us! Shout out to my wonderful girl gang who are always the best peeps to go away with - up for everything, never have a sense of humour failure & so considerate 💕 I’m sure we will be back! #cornwallisalwaysagoodidea

Georgie Barrat Instagram - We’ve just got back from our first all inclusive holiday. I’m not usually an all-inclusive kinda person, so thought I’d share a few things on how we found it.

✨What I loved
There was barely any admin. Holidaying with a 1.5 year old can sometimes be a logistical nightmare. Day bags! Snacks! Car seats! Naps! Too hot! Too cold! Change of clothes! Cook! Clean! Honestly we didn’t have any of this as we were always super close to our room, there were food options everywhere & the hotel arranged transfers. We really didn’t lift a finger.

Kids club! All the kids went everyday from 3 - 6pm (hence the afternoon cocktail drinking 😋) giving us a little reminder of what it was like holidaying pre-baby. WARNING: we did have tears on one of the days at drop off, but it helped that she was in there with the other 4 babies we were away with.

The staff! They went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. I don’t know what kind of training goes on at @ikosresorts but every single person was outstanding and never once did we feel like we had to apologise for our unruly rabble or odd requests.

✨What I missed
For me I love the adventure of a holiday - exploring new places, finding hidden gems, doing multiple activities. This obviously features a lot less when you’re in a resort. The hotel did arrange for us to have a car for the day, but by the end of the week I was ready for a change of scene. This is very much a personality trait in me though - I always like having lots of variety in my day.

Restaurant choices. The food and drink were excellent and we had 5 restaurants to choose from, however only 2 did breakfast and lunch and they both had similar setups. Again, just because I like loads of variety, by the end of the week I was ready for a change. We had 2 brilliant dinners outside of the resort and the hotel were great at arranging babysitters & taxis for us.

All in all we had a wonderful holiday. If you have small children and are looking for a break then I thoroughly recommend. It’s not something I would have done before having a kid, but it was perfect for our family 🙌

Georgie Barrat Instagram - We’ve just got back from our first all inclusive holiday. I’m not usually an all-inclusive kinda person, so thought I’d share a few things on how we found it.

Georgie Barrat Instagram - First time to Dubai and thought it was such a good setup if you have small kids. Unfortunately all 3 of us were ill for the trip 🫠 Each day we hoped we would feel better but honestly the coldy / flu thing we had lasted the whole time. But hey ho, nothing you can do when these things happen! We still loved it in amongst the sneezing and paracetamol 😂

Top recommendations from our time there:
* We really loved the @parkhyattdubai. They have a fake lagoon beach (of course they do) that’s a cross between a hotel pool and beach that worked really well.
* We did the @sonara_camp Sunset Experience in the desert. In your package you can ride a camel, watch the sunset and have drinks. It’s really lovely.
* Had amazing food at the @timeoutmarketdubai. Great atmosphere and you can watch the Dubai Fountain which is SPECTACULAR ✨
* If you want to do the all-you-can-drink brunchy thing then thoroughly recommend the Bubbalicious one @westindubai
* For a fancy dinner out then definitely checkout @sanbeach.dubai. Decor there is 🤌

Georgie Barrat Instagram - Getting ready with a toddler…50% 😍 50% 🥴
Georgie Barrat Instagram - Shout out to all working parents 🙌The past week my husband and I have had to juggle a sick baby and work 🤕
It’s brutal doing back to back nights where no one sleeps and then having to get up and go to work. Not to mention how torn you feel leaving your babe when they’re not 100%.

Luckily we have the most supportive family network around us that have looked after her during the day, given us much needed respite and helped with the extra loads of washing (!).

I know not everyone has their familes living close by - so I truly solute anyone who solo parents or brings up babies without extended family near. Coping with the unexpected is tough!

I’m hoping we are now through the worse of it, but if anyone has any tips on how we can get her sleeping back in her cot instead of on us then please do share 🙏
Georgie Barrat Instagram - I’ve got a new podcast out! It’s called No Ordinary Tech Podcast and you can find it on @spotify. It’s all about fintech - from AI, to app development, to how it can help save the planet & I’ve made in collaboration with @lloydsbankinggroup #NoOrdinaryJourney
Georgie Barrat Instagram - I’ve been working on a new project with @itnbusiness. We’ve put together a whole program on EdTech, looking at the digital tools and techniques that are revolutionising the way kids learn in the classroom.

We interviewed a range of organisations working in the EdTech space including Community Brands UK and @Quizlet, alongside industry thought leaders NAACE, British educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and @bett_global.

It’s called “EdTech: Innovating Teaching and Learning” & it launches online today, just head over to the @itnbusiness Hub (you’ll find the link in their bio)

Georgie Barrat Instagram - Hello from my desk 👋 happy humpday, hope your week is ok 🧡
Firstly can you believe I’ve put on lipstick for a day of desk work…I met a lady at an event last night who wears bright lipstick every. single. day. so I felt inspired.
Anyway not the reason why I’m posting…it was actually to let you know that I was a guest on the Mentally Yours podcast hosted by @rachellouisemoss. In it I discuss having a mindful relationship with your tech, social media and the impact AI might have on our mental health. I’ve included the link in my profile. Happy listening! #mentallyyours
Georgie Barrat Instagram - I was in charge of the midday moan today on @jeremyvineon5 and my gripe is with trick or treaters…the thing that really gets me is that there’s no doorstep etiquette. I want a little bit of chat, maybe an attempted trick, some kind of exchange, but the reality is just a load of kids grabbing as many sweets as humanly possible and running off. Is it just me or does anyone else find the whole thing a bit abrupt??
Georgie Barrat Instagram - Gorgeous afternoon with my lady tribe for baby shower no 2. Definitely a more lowkey affair than for my first - no need for cake, presents or games. I was umming and ahhing as to whether it would be necessary, but these occasions do present a wonderful excuse to get family and friends together. A unique combo that I couldn’t be more grateful for 🧡

Been reading a lot recently about the impact AI is going to have on jobs and the real dangers of it. By 2050 it’s going to be a billion times smarter than the smartest human 🤯 Quite incredible how much it’s going to impact our lives over the next few decades…#jeremyvineshow

Georgie Barrat - 284 Likes - A bit of a pinch myself moment today, as I took the reins of Alexis Conran show whilst he was away.

Georgie Barrat - 244 Likes - Weddings don’t come around as frequently as they used to - so an abroad one is a real treat, especially as we managed to do a bit of sightseeing in Rome (albeit with Mr Tumble on in the background)

Georgie Barrat - 242 Likes - Not yet outnumbered by the 👶, but it won’t be long!

Georgie Barrat - 242 Likes - We’ve just got back from our first all inclusive holiday.

Caption : We’ve just got back from our first all inclusive holiday. I’m not usually an all-inclusive kinda person, so thought I’d share a few things on how we found it. ✨What I loved There was barely any admin. Kids club! All the kids went everyday from 3 – 6pm (hence the afternoon cocktail drinking 😋) giving us a little reminder of what it was like holidaying pre-baby. ✨What I missed For me I love the adventure of a holiday – exploring new places, finding hidden gems, doing multiple activities.

Georgie Barrat - 235 Likes - First time to Dubai and thought it was such a good setup if you have small kids.

Georgie Barrat - 219 Likes - I’ve been working on a new project with @itnbusiness.

Georgie Barrat - 210 Likes - I was in charge of the midday moan today on @jeremyvineon5 and my gripe is with trick or treaters…the thing that really gets me is that there’s no doorstep etiquette. I want a little bit of chat, maybe an attempted trick, some kind of exchange, but the reality is just a load of kids grabbing as many sweets as humanly possible and running off. Is it just me or does anyone else find the whole thing a bit abrupt??

Georgie Barrat - 206 Likes - Gorgeous afternoon with my lady tribe for baby shower no 2. Definitely a more lowkey affair than for my first - no need for cake, presents or games. I was umming and ahhing as to whether it would be necessary, but these occasions do present a wonderful excuse to get family and friends together. A unique combo that I couldn’t be more grateful for 🧡

I was umming and ahhing as to whether it would be necessary, but these occasions do present a wonderful excuse to get family and friends together. A unique combo that I couldn’t be more grateful for 🧡

Georgie Barrat - 192 Likes - What a brilliant way to finish off the week. Love joining the @bbcmorninglive team - they are honestly the happiest bunch of people 😌 Dress is from @hushofficial, which I got in a size up to accommodate the 🤰this pregnancy I’m going with the ankle length dress / skirt vibes. Trying to embrace wearing the same thing on repeat 🫣
