Iain Armitage Instagram - First stop in NYC was to see Mother Play because I needed to see @therealjimparsons in this part that earned him a Tony nomination! He was excellent and so was everyone. Please take my advice and go see it! I realized I hadn’t dressed well for the chilly NY evening and stopped to get something warmer. There weren’t many choices in the immediate area and I didn’t have a lot of time before the show, but I managed to find this jacket. I realized immediately that I’ve definitely worn this as Sheldon and I’m pretty sure Jim has too. It looks like I stole this from the wardrobe department. (I didn’t!) To recap, this is the last week new episodes are airing and I go out and purchase clothes that Sheldon would wear AND go to see the OG Sheldon himself. I guess this might mean that on some level- or every level- I’m going to miss Sheldon and the unique way he views the world. I’ve learned a lot from him, he’s changed my life, and I love him. Even though we have completed filming, it feels pretty good to slip on his jacket every once in a while.

Iain Armitage Instagram - I love her love her love her love her love her. It has been a joy being Moonpie to Ms Annie’s MeeMaw. Season One I was delighted to discover that we were neighbors who both lived near the studio. It felt like having a relative who lived right down the street. Ms Annie is always up for adventures and capers. When I was little we would go on walks and she’d let me put the bugs I collected in her pockets. That’s just the kind of MeeMaw she is. On set I used to snuggle up next to her- she said it recharged my batteries, and she was right. She makes the very best quesadillas, throws an awesome Halloween party and knows such interesting people. Now she has real grandchildren, but I’m very honored to have been one of her first practice grandchildren. She’s one of my very favorite people! ❤️It’s all been a dream, MeeMaw!
Iain Armitage Instagram - What an exciting honor to attend the first taping of Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage!! It’s always fun to be on the Warner Brothers lot- I grew up there!-and then to get the chance to see so many familiar faces that I love! I got to see @thisisanniepotts @emilyosment @melissapeterman @montanajordan @raeganrevord @rachelbayjones @willsasso and so many more, including many crew members I’ve missed since we stopped filming Young Sheldon. What a great evening and what a terrific show! I was so excited to be back and then I realized afterwards that I hardly took any pictures! Oops….never mind- you’ll get to see the show for yourself in October. I want to tell you about my favorite scene but I’m probably not allowed- maybe ask me in October! Congratulations to everyone involved! ❤️

Iain Armitage Instagram - This is 8 yr old me getting ready to film the very first scene I did as Young Sheldon. @melissapeterman recently asked what I would go back and tell my younger self. Maybe I wouldn’t tell him anything and I would just let life unfold as it does, but I think he’d be so surprised and happy to see where we are now. I sure am. I don’t think this kid could have anticipated what it would feel like to film our final scene all these years later. Thank you, amazing crew, past and present, and those who have been there the whole time. I love you all so much!

Iain Armitage Instagram - And here is the whole reason I went to NYC! It’s one of my favorite places to go in the autumn, so I’m always looking for an excuse to get there. When I heard that @therealjimparsons was appearing on stage in @classicstage ‘s production of Man of No Importance, I knew I had to get there. I ended up sitting in the front row for a preview performance and it was so, so, so great! Jim is astonishing and he’s surrounded by an incredible cast. Honestly, I want to go back and see it all again! Have you seen it? Will you get to? Please let me know! Jim plays Alfie, a theatre loving bus conductor in Dublin in 1964 in this musical. And we watch as he wrestles with his faith, his beliefs and his judgements. It’s sweet and simple and powerful, and you’ve never seen Jim Parsons in a role like this. I feel so lucky and happy that i got to go! “You just have to love who you love.” - Alfie. Also, I was so happy to see Jim again!!!

I spent the day flying my grandmother around in a small plane as part of my pilot training. It was an honor to fly her and I loved being in the air again. It’s been great being back in LA. Before we arrived here I got my wisdom teeth out and got my learners permit for driving, then out here I’ve been able to fly again, got to reunite with my tv siblings for the @kidschoiceawards and have gotten to see so many people I miss and love. I had already decided that this was my best birthday ever and then got surprised with a big birthday dinner with friends and family- what a night! And thank you to all of you who took the time to send a kind thought- I appreciated it. Now, let’s see what 16 is like!

Season One I was delighted to discover that we were neighbors who both lived near the studio. It felt like having a relative who lived right down the street. Ms Annie is always up for adventures and capers. When I was little we would go on walks and she’d let me put the bugs I collected in her pockets. That’s just the kind of MeeMaw she is. On set I used to snuggle up next to her- she said it recharged my batteries, and she was right. She makes the very best quesadillas, throws an awesome Halloween party and knows such interesting people.
