Caption : Our LA flight was delayed 1 hour. There are no nonstop flights from LAX to Biloxi, where they are flying us. The 1 hour delay meant we would miss our connecting flight in Fort Worth. When we got to LAX they told us there were no other flights available. Every single flight was booked. They finally found one option, which got us to Fort Worth but there were no flights out today so we were going to pay stay at a hotel. Then we would fly to New Orleans on a 7am flight tomorrow and then a 2 and a half drive to Biloxi. But when we landed in Fort Worth there were some cancellations on a 9pm flight so we grabbed them. But now this plane is delayed until midnight. I hope we will be able to get to @southernerdsfest! I am doing everything I can to get there! This has not been funā¦Likes : 568

Studios/ Producers need actors now, but if we sign this, they will not. (This is like Blockbuster, DVD and New Media but more catastrophic.) B) AI nullifies the Salary Minimums, Residuals and Pension & Health payments ā even if you like the numbers in this deal (which I personally donāt ā look at top of show guest star roles etc,) we will not get this money. It is a Catch 22. The compensation for use of your likeness in perpetuity even after death is ludicrous/ minuscule and in a number of instances the compensation is non-existent. They can hire you for digital replica on same day working for no other compensation and use you for an infinite number of scenes. How does this not put us out of work? Caption : PART 2 (please see part 1 first) Below are the facts, which we see as irrefutable, and lead us to a NO vote after reading the 129-page draft (Not final contract) released by SAG/AFTRA. āThe Producer determines the number of production days that the performer would have been required to work had the performer instead performed those scene(s) in person. The Producer will make a good faith effort to estimate the number of production days.ā There are a lot of clauses where the producers will act in āGood Faith.ā Another one: āThe Producer agrees to give the Union notice and an opportunity to bargain in good faith over appropriate consideration, if any, if a Synthetic Performer is used in place of a performer who would have been engaged under this Agreement in a human role.ā This verbiage gives us nothing. Donāt forget these people who will be negotiating in good faith are the people making multi-million-dollar salaries, who said that they were fine with people losing their houses, have lied for years claiming theyāve made no profit and have never showed accounting. (More on profits later.) Even SAG admitted they were played by the Producers with giving them the extension ā there was no good faith negotiation. It allowed them to release some of their Blockbuster movies and generate a lot of money. These are the same people paying lots of money to cut down trees, put up barricades to impede strikers and hire expensive PR firms rather than pay actors. But we should trust all these vague clauses will be negotiated in good faith. C) Another concerning element in this draft: āIf performer is deceased, the Producer shall obtain the consent of the authorized representative (or the Union, if the deceased performerās authorized representative cannot be identified or located) who represents the deceased performerās exclusive rights as determined by applicable law.ā Why should the Union have this ability?
