Maxime Mary Instagram - Here we are! TMNT Mutant Mayhem is finally out and I can share some of the concept work I did at the beginning of the project. @roweyourboatz contacted me and gave me the opportunity to do something I never could have imagined : create the new look of the ninja turtles 🤯
During around 6 months we tried different directions.
The production designer @yashar.cc wanted to push the design further by exaggerating the proportions and giving them a wobbly look (based on what was doing @woodrow_white in his illustrations and characters👏), and it looks terrific !!!

Here is a model we enjoyed, that served as a base for the other turtles. At first it was Donnie, but it ended up being better for Leo, as this is the more balanced.
I'm glad I helped, and it's funny to see all the details that have been added by the team to get the final design 😀

Thank you Yashar and Jeff for your trust, big shout out to the art team (I only met a few of them🥲) and congratulations to everybody involved, you must be proud !

Maxime Mary Instagram - Finally here is Donnie. The glasses came late, as we were focusing on the overall shape, skinny and tall. The face was longer, but I really like the round face we can see in the movie.
On the latest page you can see some explorations about which clothes he could wear in college. I had a ton a fun imagining these!
