Nicola Thorp Instagram - It’s wonderful to see four Israeli hostages reunited with their families.

It’s devastating to learn that over 200 Palestinians were killed in the operation.

Especially when we know that the hostages could have been released - along with hundreds of Palestinians held without charge in Israel - as part of a ceasefire proposal rejected by Netanyahu.

The pictures coming out of Nuseirat are horrifying.

I won’t share the images of the blood soaked boy with part of his brain hanging out of his skull - still alive - or the dead girl with her intestines exposed because I don’t want you to disengage in an understandable act of self-preservation.

Nicola Thorp Instagram - I promise I’m not just going to post parent content from now on but something has really got on my tits recently and it’s not my baby.

Did you know that in the UK it’s against the law to sell infant formula at a discounted price?

Like many others, I struggled to breastfeed when my little girl was born. While the health service is far more accepting of formula feeding than it used to be, there is still an overwhelming amount of pressure to exclusively breastfeed your baby.

While I fully understood the benefits, I found it impossible to provide enough milk for her and she lost a significant amount of weight. So we turned to combination feeding, which worked well for both of us. Now I really enjoy breastfeeding without worrying that she’s going hungry.

Formula is wildly expensive, and when parents complain about that they are often met with arseholes on the internet reminding them that breastfeeding is free.

Despite the fact that that’s not strictly true (there are still costs associated with breastfeeding), many parents formula feed their babies because they have no other choice.

Meanwhile, retailers are banned from supplying or accepting coupons for parents who struggle to afford to feed their newborn.

With a rise in formula being shoplifted from supermarkets by desperate parents, surely it’s time that infant formula was price capped or at least subsidised by the government for those who cannot afford it?

Malak is very important to me and someone who, like everyone in G zza, right now has undergone a great deal of trauma. She is resilient because she has to be, but the one thing that keeps her focused and able to move forward is the prospect of evacuating sonewhere safe. At @_allourrelations, we help as much as we can, but we are unable to contribute to evacuations as the money we receive only just goes far enough to help people with the basics.

Malak is making hard decisions to cut down on essentials so that she can save something to get out, but this means she is being forced to make compromises that no one should have to make.

I cannot fathom what their family has been through these past 18 months.

I deleted my recent post after reading about the wishes of the Bibas family as stated above. It is impossibly cruel that they continue to have any form of agency taken from them.

We have failed as a human beings if we fail to protect every single child as if they were our own.
