Sideara St. Claire Instagram - DESIGN ARCHIVES PT 1 ⭐️ For a long time (and still sometimes) I would make things and immediately forget about them and file them away. So I started a series going through all of my @shopsideara design archives one by one 💕🫶 This has brought new love into old projects & a refreshed perspective on new ones. Highly recommend taking a fresh look at your old work, you might find something great you didn’t appreciate the first time around :-) I created this piece when I was designing looks for @the_symone’s performance at the @boy__smells x @gracejonesofficial event. We ended up going with another piece for that project but she’s still sickening!!!

Sideara St. Claire Instagram - DESIGN ARCHIVES PT 5 ⭐️ I think what I’m most excited to learn about as I get more formal education for millinery is better ways to attach things to heads and hair (or lack of), of all kinds. I just learned about toupee clips in a fascinator class and it BLEW MY MIND!!! They are small clips that can super securely attach to short hair. Every time I gain a piece of knowledge like this I get so excited lmao. I truly love making hats!!!! Find what you love and then let the velvet & fume inhalation kill you!

This year ended with an amazing chain of events that started with a video of me showing an old hat that I made going viral, iconic angel @saracamposarcone bought it, then @hoza729 saw it on her and got in touch with me - now the gorgeous dancers for Kylie Minogues Vegas residency are wearing them!!!!! This year I was able to focus on @shopsideara more than in the past 5 years and it has felt so fckng good. I made so many things that I’m proud of, it really has been so incredibly rewarding to see people in them. I feel like I have learned and grown so much in @sheilanieves61 acting classes. I had another beautiful year with @pauljamesread I am obsessed with him. My grandma turned 90 and I got to celebrate with her and family. I turned 30 a day after and got to celebrate at the Madonna Inn double dating w my best friend since 5th grade & had so much fckng fun. The first batch of @littlefriends.world_ pins went out and met so many cute amazing people all over the world. My belief systems shifted in a lot of ways that I’ll carry for the rest of my life. I feel like there’s so many places to go from here! It’s all just beginning! Don’t ever give up on yourself bitch!!!!!! Sideara St. Claire Instagram - DESIGN ARCHIVES PT 2 ⭐️ It had to have been @philiptreacy who made those hats for Mugler, right? Now that I’m thinking about it, who the fck made the Les Insectes hats for Mugler and WHY have I not done a deep dive to find this information already?? Anyways this hat is an earlier experiment, if I were to revisit I would probably cut out the whole bottom of the circle and leave two open points. But it’s still nice as is and it’s fun to revisit!!
Sideara St. Claire Instagram - The Wheat Hat 🌾✨ For @worldofmyownnyc’s Metamorphosis runway show 🤍 Was exploring feather alternatives and realized that dried plants have similar qualities… need to take this further because there’s so many more plants I’ve seen since that I want to turn into hats, and I’d like to find ways to make them stronger, but really happy with how this turned out 🎂 had to do small sections at a time over the course of a few days. Would love to make another as a custom for someone local (NYC)
