Tiffany Hines Instagram - #farewell30s I heard someone say once that everything that happens in life is either a lesson or a blessing. As I complete another trip around the sun, I realize that you seldom know which one you are experiencing until much later in life. Now I’m starting to understand that even the lessons are blessings. For a long time I believed that my identity was defined by one specific thing, but this year taught me that I am so much more than that thing. I learned to love myself, forgive myself, push myself, and find myself. I grew in so many ways over the past year that it feels like much more time has passed than 12 months. First, don’t be afraid to incorporate pre-made salads and meals. This saves a ton of time! Also using frozen veggies can save more time than chopping and cutting up fresh veggies. And of course, cooking in batches and repeating meals throughout the week helps save time too. Monday’s Workout: Good Mornings Sumo Squat Seated Hamstring Curl Cable Kick Abduction Unilateral Seated Calves Our bodies are incredible adaptation machines so it’s always important to add new stimulus to continue making progress! Over these last 6 weeks of my 12 week fitness challenge, I’m increasing the volume on the weakest parts of my body like my glutes and hamstrings, and just doing enough volume to maintain the muscle in areas like my back, shoulders, biceps & triceps. Really happy with my progress so far! Starting week 5, I also added in 30 minutes of incline walking to help break through a plateau instead of dropping calories. Cardio is a great tool once I learned how to use it. I rely mainly on strength training and only use cardio as a way to increase my deficit. As I complete another trip around the sun, I realize that you seldom know which one you are experiencing until much later in life. Now I’m starting to understand that even the lessons are blessings. For a long time I believed that my identity was defined by one specific thing, but this year taught me that I am so much more than that thing. I learned to love myself, forgive myself, push myself, and find myself. I grew in so many ways over the past year that it feels like much more time has passed than 12 months. I’m so grateful to God for my time on this planet, for surrounding me with people full of love and light, and removing the ones full of darkness. I’m so grateful to Him for every lesson and every blessing as He has carried me kicking and screaming towards the woman I’m meant to be. Farewell my dear transformative 30s, and hello 40s! Over these last 6 weeks of my 12 week fitness challenge, I’m increasing the volume on the weakest parts of my body like my glutes and hamstrings, and just doing enough volume to maintain the muscle in areas like my back, shoulders, biceps & triceps. Really happy with my progress so far! Starting week 5, I also added in 30 minutes of incline walking to help break through a plateau instead of dropping calories. Cardio is a great tool once I learned how to use it. I rely mainly on strength training and only use cardio as a way to increase my deficit.
